Hi Amar, thank you for your question. The FHDD5034W1 is rated at approximately 3.5 amps under standard operating conditions. The exact power consumption can vary depending on operating conditions and settings. — Reed
Hi Rick, thank you for your question. The FHDD5034Y1 allows you to set your desired humidity level. Once the room reaches the selected humidity level, the dehumidifier will automatically stop dehumidifying and will resume operation when the humidity rises above the set level. — Reed
Hi Jodi! Thank you for your question. The Frigidaire FHDD5034Y1 dehumidifier should be placed with at least 12 inches of clearance from walls or other objects to allow proper airflow around the unit. Avoid blocking the air intake or exhaust areas, and keep the unit on a level surface for safe and efficient operation. — Reed

Hi Topdad2020, based on the Frigidaire manual for the current 22-pint model, yes, it is supposed to display the actual room humidity percentage, even in Auto mode. In fact, the manual specifically states: Auto Mode: "Display will show actual room humidity." The unit automatically maintains the room's RH between 45% and 55%, but the display should still show the current humidity percentage. If your display has never shown a percentage since the day you bought it, and instead only shows something else (or nothing where the percentage should be), that is not normal. A few things to check: - Make sure it is actually in Auto mode and not another special mode. - Power-cycle the unit by unplugging it for a few minutes, then plug it back in. - If the display is blank, shows only dashes, or never displays a number (such as 48, 55, 62, etc.), it could indicate a display or humidity sensor issue. - Maico
Hi valued customer! Thank you for your questions. The Frigidaire FHDD2234W1 (22 Pint Dehumidifier) does not offer remote access/Wi-Fi control. Remote access refers to the ability to monitor or control the appliance from a smartphone or another device through a connected app, which this model does not support. This unit is designed for indoor use and is not recommended for installation in a crawl space unless the space meets the required operating conditions and has proper access, ventilation, and protection from moisture and extreme temperatures. The unit includes a removable bucket with a capacity of approximately 13.4 pints. When the bucket becomes full, the dehumidifier will automatically shut off and the Full indicator light will turn on to prevent overflow. The FHDD2234W1 features automatic defrost, which helps prevent frost buildup on the coils during operation. The bucket and continuous drain option cannot be used at the same time. If you connect a continuous drain hose, the water will drain through the hose instead of collecting in the bucket. — Reed
Hi Ukgal! Thank you for your question. Yes, this is normal. The Frigidaire FHDD3534W1 dehumidifier removes moisture from the air by passing it over refrigeration components, and the air discharged from the unit may feel slightly warm. This is a normal part of the dehumidification process and indicates the unit is operating as designed. Although the discharged air is warmer, the unit is effectively reducing humidity, which can help make the room feel more comfortable. — Reed
I found out after I asked this question that the photo shows the 35 pint model, which does vent out the side per the Frigidaire website. Also, I believe Home Depot has an error in bucket size for 35 pint unit - it should be 1.7 gal, not 1.7 pints.
Hello Michele! According to the Frigidaire product specifications and owner's documentation for this 50-pint dehumidifier series, the air discharge (exhaust) vents out the top of the unit, not the side. The specifications explicitly list "Air Discharge: Top of Unit." So if you're looking for a dehumidifier that doesn't vent out the top, this Frigidaire model is not the right choice. The side openings shown in some retailer photos are for intake or cabinet features, but the conditioned air is discharged through the top grille. - Maico
