No just logs. Be sure to season it first. YouTube it. Get a cover and keep it away from sprinklers and rain

You should burn small pieces of wood, for better results please carefully read your instructions manual, it is very important to know all the process for you to have your fire under control always and for your clay chiminea to have a longer life.

if you use paper to help ignite it then yes it will Emit ash into the air. We purchased piñon wood which is awesome to burn and smells good. There’s no ash. And very little smoke

Fell apart
We always kept it covered. It fell apart completely in less than a year. It looked like it cracked a little and my husband went to take it to seal up the cracks and it disintegrated Upon touch. Do not buy this. Such a huge waste of money!

This is a good way to get into having a back yard fire pit with lower risk of a fire spreading since the fire is contained within a "chimney". It is not meant for big fires. We use some kindling wood and newspaper, and a single "log" to create nice fires. When they burn down to just coals it takes about an hour to cool off before the chiminea can be covered. Ypu MUST keep this covered or rain will make the bottom turn back to clay and your chiminea will be ruined. It does not come with a cover, but one can be bought online. I still give this product 5 stars even though it did not come with a cover, simply because it works so well and is so affordable.

Great size and color
Bought one and loved it so much I ended up buying another one. I recommend you place some type of grill grate inside to place log on while they burn in order to preserve base longer

Very Happy with it!
I saw this chiminea online at a home depot 40 mins from me. i purchased it online, and I was very happy to find it. It was reasonably priced and if you have been looking for one how difficult they are to find. I dont plan on burning wood in it or to use it outside. i plan to use gel fuel and keep it inside.
