How much lead is on the test strip?

I accidentally touched it with my bare hands.
Asked by: Laura
You won't notice any effects. Adults are much less prone to lead poisoning than kids, and the main issues are when it's inhaled or consumed. Don't snort, eat, or lick it and you'll be fine :) And like the other user said, washing hands is a good idea. I suspect 3M wouldn't just have a layer of lead that could flake off, since that would be irresponsible. There's probably just a little bit of dissolved lead dried onto the paper, is my guess.

The proper way to use this is by making a notch in the siding down to the wood cleaning the area very well with an wet wipes and then testing the area. Will not work on the top of a non lead surface.
