Square Boxes and Extension Rings are manufactured from durable pre-galvanized steel, and are designed to house and protect electrical wiring, switches, receptacles, and to support light fixtures. All steel boxes are UL listed and acceptable for use in 2-hour fire rated walls and ceilings. 8-32 cover mounting screws are assembled.

This is a great box extra heavy duty! It can be used as a junction box or for heavy duty industrial applications. I used one as a attic junction box which was super easy to install it has two install tabs that will pin the box to the wooden rafter so you can use both hands to install the screws! I joined 4 14-2 wires in that box and had ample room to join many more in the same box. I like metal boxes because if a wire gets frayed or wire but comes off it will ground itself on the metal box and kick the breaker stopping the arcing and possibly of a fire from a plastic box.

4" welded square electrical box with stud bracket to either nail or screw on I prefer to screw them in, comes with plenty of knockout holes to enter box from top, bottom, rear and sides, Great time saver with the combination phillips / Slotted screws, I usually get the standard and deep depth boxes to fit more wiring in the box not be so crammed up in a smaller box it's worth the additional cost if your customer wants to add another electrical lines.

The best feature of the 4" welded square wall electric box is the installation bracket on the side of the box. You can easily attach the box with the bracket using screws making the box solidly attached to a wall or stud. The box is manufactured of durable pre galvanized steel. There are included screws to attach a not included cover. There are nine 1/2" and five 1/2-3/4 knockouts in the box.
