It works good on a carpeted floor. Transparent but not see through. I got it because my mom moved in and I needed to divide part of my room to give her her space. It works and looks nice. It goes with some of the oriental decor in my home.

The cracks in between the panel as you fold the screen lose your privacy as crowd from the other side can still see through. Design something to cover the cracks w/some kind of filament/strand to completely block the view from the other side.
