That creature isn't coming back this season, but we will some fantastic figures for 2019. Perhaps our Headless Horseman, our Towering Jack O'Man or our Gatekeeper?

Is there a diagram for the motor / pully system? Love the decoration however the up and down isn't working. String broke

        Answer This Question

Sadly there isn't. Although it does require you to run the motor so the pulley is positioned to the lowest position and cut power. You will also need to remove one side of the head spring to make it easier to connect without fighting it, then reconnect when done. The rope will be attached to the rear eyelet of the pulley then wound 1 3/4 turns clockwise to the inside of the pulley then through the upper rope guide and tied to the upper shaft end snugly. The rope to the lower part of the shaft is tied to the front pulley eyelet and then wrapped straight down counter clockwise through the bottom rope guide and then to the lower shaft end. It is always best not to remove the pulley. As a rule the eyelets on the pulley should be on top when in the lowered position. You will also need some slack on the ropes that you can fine tune to insure that the head and arms are fully extended in the upper position and it can fully lower without binding and setting off the anti strip clutch gear. The gear position limit switches on the back of the gear box should get activated at each extreme for proper operation. Keep in mind that ropes can stretch and shrink and the pulley shaft can also have play due to weight on it, that will result in tolerance changes over time.

Mine is very loud (can hear the cranking noise) when rising and lowering. Is that normal?

It's normal for this crummy piece of garbage decoration.

Everything works but it does not rise all the way and the pulley starts to click.

We had this issue straight out of the box! If you find an answer on how to hack it to make it work, let me know! For now, we took the string off and just let him talk and glow. :-/ Cheap crap

              By|Oct 27, 2018

I had the same issue. You will need to watch it closely under the cloth and see what is getting caught preventing it from rising.

2020 will be my 3rd year setting this up for Halloween & I'm 100% satisfied with it's performance. This is easy to setup, disassemble & takes up little space when packing it away in a tote. The sound is great, nice & loud or low if desired. He rises & lowers with no jerky movements. The arms move smoothly & his chest & eyes light up nicely. He is top heavy so be sure to use something heavy on the base so it wont fall over in heavy winds or from kids. I use cement blocks. So far the fabric, face & chest are holding up great in the sun & still looks new.The mouth moments are off a little but works fine. I am very pleased with how he has performed & held up to the sun (I bring him indoors if rain is possible).

Best Halloween decoration i've ever purchased. When i first set it up and activated it, it sent my 5 year old daughter and her friend running from the garage. Man I wish i had set up the camera. Surpassed my expectations.

The 58” Rising Ghoul was the hit of Halloween this year. From the moment I put it together till the end of Halloween night, it offered tons of shrieks, gasps and delights. My wife even took it to work for their annual decoration contest. One of the most best pics was that of the CEO posing with it!!

After reading the reviews, I must admit I was a bit hesitant in ordering this Ghoul with respect to it not rising. After assembly, mine did the same. Solution was simple. Not in the instructions but the head unit must be above a rest bar. When assembling, the head sits naturally below the bar.
