ABOCRETE bonds, levels, fills, rebuilds, and resurfaces concrete and most rigid surfaces. This versatile epoxy can be blended with fine sand, creating a structural filler used for countless applications. Repair floors, docks, sidewalks, driveways, stairs, parking decks, and more. ABOCRETE is perfect for fixing pitted, spalled, worn, or cracked concrete and is ideal for salt damage repairs. It makes a great slip-resistant floor and deck coating by broadcasting sand over the wet ABOCRETE. ABOCRETE works great for anchoring posts and railings and installing machinery, precasts, columns, and more. Use with forms to rebuild steps and vertical columns.ABOCRETE creates repairs that are permanent and cost-effective. It is easy to mix and apply. 1) Can the application be done in phases or does it need to be all at once in one zone, for instance the full apron? 2) how many gallons needed to level an apron 4ft x 28ft X 2 inches deep?
                ByJan 21, 2026
                1 Answer |
                Answer This Question

You can apply all at one time or in phases. 1 gallon of mixed Abocrete with sand or aggregate covers approximately 80 sq ft @ 20 mils thick or 231 cubic inches. Be sure to only mix as much as you can use at a time. If you mix up the entire product at once, it may cure too quickly before you can apply it.

I removed several big cracked chunks of driveway, sliced off the top of the roots that were pushing it up, replaced the pieces and used Abocrete to cement the cracks. So far it's hard as steel, but only tested with car weight. I have not had delivery trucks ride over it yet. I'm giving it a week to cure and I suspect it will be fine. The only thing I don't like is the price. It's expensive and doesn't go very far, but I'd pay for it in a second over regular concrete that will, no doubt crack up. Be sure to put styrfoam or something down in the cracks, otherwise the Abocrete will go all the way to the ground and you waste a lot of product. If I had known the product better, I would have bought the larger 66lb buckets instead of a bunch of the 18lb smaller more expensive buckets. When I say a bunch; it was 7 total for both sides of the driveway where a live oak root went through. The epoxy is easy to work with. Use rubbing alcohol to remove it off tools. I used a wire wheel in my drill to score up the edges and tops of the concrete to give the epoxy a good surface to adhere to and blew it off with a blower. Where the driveway pieces were not level, I crazy glued some 1/2" high pieces of thin cardboard to the driveway in a number of places to provide a breakpoint for the epoxy. Since it is self-leveling, it would just go downhill and pool up in one spot. I needed for it to stay in place in several locations. So after pouring, I waited about 40 minutes, then with pliers, pulled up the cardboard pieces and was able to smooth out the joins still. But the cardboard worked and given the 40 minutes or so, it set enough to stay in place and not continue to go downhill into a puddle. There's probably a better way to put those cardboard stops in. Maybe just seat the cardboard pieces in plumbers putty or something. But crazy glue did work. I added three images to this review, but this seems to only allow one. The photo is after five buckets. I have two more buckets on order to finish up.

Abocrete kit mixed easily in the provided bucket. My advice is order more than you need and to get a stout paint stir stick as the one provided is not strong enough to move the mixture once the sand is added.

It’s a good product, it sets fast, very strong and adheres very well. The only thing is the self leveling is not the best, maybe if you don’t use much sand it would level better.

Used multiple times to level concrete walkways and sidewalks. Also used to repair spalled concrete surfaces.

The insert that came with the small Abocrete kit I bought told me how much coverage I could expect from their large kit. I prepared some cracks in my driveway to use what I thought would be leftover from my sidewalk repair. Turns out, the small kit only made enough to cover about a third of what I needed for the sidewalk. Because Abocrete is many times more expensive than competing products, and the first shipment took 12 days to get here, I finished the job with a Quickrete product. All they had to do in their insert is say "the big kit yields this much; the small kit yields that much," and they could have saved me a lot of hassle. If I could have just picked up more at Home Depot, I probably would have bought more. But I didn't want to leave the sidewalk exposed for another 2 weeks (plus weather delays). But Quickrete makes a product that can be as thick as 4" and taper out to a feather edge. And it's only $27.50 for a 55lb bag!! I don't think I will buy Abocrete again. Since I covered the Abocrete with Quickrete, I don't have a photo of the Abocrete.

I apologize for the delay in receiving your product and the confusion on coverage of the product. uccoatings
Great product. I used it to patch a hole in a concrete exterior slab that was about 2" in diameter and 2" deep. Everything I needed (except a container for mixing the two-component epoxy) was included in the box. The sand allowed me to create the right consistency and fill the hole. I prepped the hole thoroughly before applying the product to ensure a good bond. The end result was exactly what I was looking for.
