Not for old buildings with thick walls.
Got this as an alternative to drilling into my window. Our New York City building was built in 1927 and the exterior walls are quite thick, plus the interior windowsill adds even more depth. Short version. This device is not deep enough to fit our windows. Sending it back.
If you live in a newer building with thinner walls and shallow windowsills, it might work.

It was harder than I expected to assemble. But I have little strength. More importantly though is the width. It needs to be about 2 inches less to not be unstable for my 6,000 btu window unit. Cannot tell you how hard it was to set this by myself because of the width. Akso the grips the are made to rest under it are ineffective. So I had to do lots of "McGyvering" to make it work for my situation.

Completely Useless
Can't weather proof properly because it takes up so much space. Hard to angle properly, and once you have it angled properly the rubber grips are so loose that your ac will just slide off of it. Absolutely not worth the price for some metal bars and cheap rubber. Will be returning it as soon as possible.

Leaves a massive gap under the ac unit
We foolishly purchased this support bracket without checking the reviews online. Issue number 1 was we clearly received a bracket that had been previously returned. Issue number 2 was that it left a huge gap under the AC unit that was super difficult to block with insulation padding. There was no way to seal around the AC unit. We ended up not using it, but no longer had the box so it was an absolute waste of $50.
