How do you get mound to come out. All I see is battery cover

It is not necessary to remove anything on hygrometer other than the cover. If you are having issues please contact our customer service department at 800-547-3888.

Pretty basic device, but it does the job well. I can now check humidity levels around the house, so I can see where I need to put humidifiers. I've been able to reprogram our thermostat to provide better heating around the house when really needed and not drive humidity too low.

The back cover was very difficult to remove, in order to put in the included batteries. I did it successfully, but now, it will not snap back. But, it works well and the stated themperature is withing a degree of other thermometers in my house.
