The versatile digital weather station display allows you to view your environment, inside and outside your home, at a glance.       Q:I have this model and the outside temperature has stated 85 with rain forecasted if not brought it inside and it still stays at 85 is there a reset button is there someway to fix it I?ve enjoyed it it?s been very very accurate thank you

      A:  Hello Peter, We apologize that your station is reading inaccurately but we would be happy to assist! Please follow the steps carefully as the order is crucial to the success of the reset. Hard Reset: 1. Bring both the sensor and display unit together and remove batteries from the outdoor sensor. Make sure that the Wireless Reception Indicator on the display drops to zero bars to ensure that your display was connected to the correct sensor. NOTE: If your display unit continues to show a strong connection, there is another sensor in your area that your display is connecting to (either a neighbor's or from another of your AcuRite units). If you have multiple sensors, make sure to use a different ABC channel on each. 2. Remove the batteries and/or power adapter from the display unit. 3. Change the A-B-C switch on both units to a new, matching channel then press and hold the reset button in the battery compartment of the display for 20 seconds, if applicable. 4. Reinstall the batteries in the outdoor sensor. 5. Once the batteries are inserted you should see the red LED light blink approx. every 18 seconds on the front of the sensor. The red LED light should NOT stay on continuously. 6. Reinstall batteries and/or power cord into the display unit then immediately press and hold the reset button again for 20 seconds, if applicable. 7. Let the units sit within a couple of feet of each other for approximately 5 minutes or until you see a solid sensor signal.         Q:This station works fine with one exception. The night auto dim fails to work even though the light bulb icon display is on. The main reason I bought this was because it's being used in my bedroom and I don't want to have to manually dim the brightness.

        A:  Hello Harry, We apologize that your station is experiencing this issue but we would be happy to assist! First, please make sure that you are using standard alkaline batteries from a high-quality brand in the display as well as the included power adapter, then perform the following reset. ***This will clear all data on the display.*** 1. Remove all power, AC adapter and/or batteries from the display unit for a full five minutes. 2. Press and hold down the reset button, located in the battery compartment, for 20 seconds if applicable. 3. Plug back into AC power and/or insert recommended batteries. 4. Press and hold down the reset button for an additional 20 seconds if applicable. 5. Verify that the unit has powered on and once a connection has been made, attempt to set time and date.           Great!
          The display is very bright. I like this. would prefer the colors for the outside and inside temperatures and humidity be reversed. date , time and other Indicators are hard to see from anything over 7 feet. The humidity indicator size would be perfect . But it is pretty nice for the price point. We'll see if it holds up for at least a year.

            Needs to be at eye level to read numbers
            Easy to set up. When display is at eye level numbers are very easy to see. I put display on a shelf that was slightly higher than eye level and the numbers disappeared from view. If the display is not put on your eye level you will not be able to read the numbers.

              This unit is not accurate at all. We had a nice day yesterday 67 deg. This said it was 98 outside. This morning it says heavy thunder storms, there isnt a cloud in the sky. Just hang up a $5 outdoor thermometer and save youself money and aggrivation

                Awful. Do not purchase.
                1. The unit display must be positioned high enough to see the display. It will be much higher than you think. 2. The outside conditions display never, ever was correct. What was displayed didn't make any sense. 3. After four months, the outside temperature probe stopped transmitting or the receiver would not detect the probe. I tried all different spots in my lawn to get the unit to connect, no luck (batteries were new). 4. The unit must be plugged into an outlet for a consent display.

                LCD screens typically have somewhat limited viewing angles. The viewing angle for our displays is optimized for typical display setups, such as on a side table, where it is meant to be seen at eye-level or from slightly above the display. The future forecast feature is a prediction of weather conditions for the next 12-24 hours.

                  Sensor and base did not synch. They sent me another sensor, within 2 days, same. It is programmable, so although not as accurate as I am used to, it is OK. They are a good company to work with, just that temperature sensors not as good as they used to be. Humidity is Right On correct.
