Product Details

Affresh Washer Cleaner removes and prevents odor-causing residue that can occur in all brands of HE. Affresh cleaner is a formulated, slow-dissolving, foaming tablet that get under residue, breaks it up and washes it away, leaving the washer smelling fresh and clean. Simply place 1-tablet in the wash basket (without clothes) and run a Normal Cycle (hot option) or Clean Washer Cycle.

Q:Would this help an older washing machine that's been sitting idle? When I used the old washing machine in a new place, there was black stuff swirling around in the water, I assume from it sitting vacant for almost a year. Will Affresh help?

              A:  No, 'removes and prevents odor-causing residue.' That said- Affresh is added to washer without any clothes so lint may be more likely to be carried out as water drains without any clothes catching the lint. So it might seem like Affresh removes lint but if so, it is only because lint is more likely to be carried out with water. Checking the washer owners manual might be best way to see why lint is a problem.

                Useless and doesn't work.
                I used Affresh washer cleaner today after just picking up at Home Depot, and decided to order only after reading all the positive reviews. I have a brand new Amana auto sensing washing machine (6months old) which actually has a cycle option that says "Clean washer with Affresh" and I honestly never heard of Affresh before then. I followed the directions exactly as stated and once it was complete the same residue inside the washer was still there as before and there was absolutely no odor or nice scent,nothing. I feel this was a complete waste of my time and money as this doesn't work.

                  We do a lot of laundry in my house and because of that my washer started smelling really really really bad. I did some research and came across these tablets, after just one use the smell was gone and my washing machine was back to normal. I highly recommend these tablets.
