You can replace the handles. You will have to mark and drill your holes for the bolts. Home Depot should have some.

Are these made in the U S A

I'm sure that you can find a suitable replacement at any big box hardware store. They should be right next to the shovels etc.

What does the 15-year manufacturer warranty cover on this tool? (Handles? Grips? Hardware?) What is needed to claim it?

It's light weight, yet sturdy and east to use. The best part is that the ruler on the handle really is a time saver and makes it simple to get the perfect depth of hole every time!

I was pleasantly surprised by this post-hole digger for the price, particularly that it is American made. I was expecting at this price that I would be getting an imported post-hole digger. It works fine, I needed to dig a series of holes in my yard for a few light projects and this went through it fine. I had previously rented post-hole diggers but my projects were getting bigger and more frequent which justified finally buying one.

It's firmly built and made hard work easy. I dug 6 (12"wide x 28"deep) wholes in 45 mins or less. There were two other options at my local store, but the was the middle option and has work well for what I needed. Built a horizontal privacy fence.

Great post hole digger. I was able to replace two broken post and keep my fence from being blown down by strong winds. Also having measure guide on the post make it easy to see how deep you have dug. I didn't have pulling out a measuring tape every few minutes. Highly recommended.

Handle broke on 8th fence post hole.
A picture is worth a thousand words. A total of 8 holes dug in light, sandy soil ... well, actually 7 1/2 holes dug. Stored indoors, never used in wet or inclement weather, and meticulously maintained. Replacing handles every 7 or 8 holes was definitely not part of my budget. And, yes. I loved it until it broke. But, I could feel the wood starting to give by the 5th hole.

Nice pole digger for the price. Made my fence install fairly easy. Here's a tip a pro gave me- let go of the tool as your are forcing it into the hole. It will save your hands and wrists.
