This was ridiculous! The two posts don’t fit together. The three tiny screws they give you do not provide enough stability. We had to make three trips to the hardware store for drill bits and screws to create a stable base for the mailbox. Do yourself a favor and buy some thing else.

Looks good.
This is a sturdy mailbox pole that will hold more then one size of mailbox. I happen to use a larger mailbox so that it will handle small packages. I have the pole embedded in an 8" x 4' hole filled with concrete. It isn't going to move. The pole has a sleeve that dresses up where the pole meets the ground. You can raise it up for trimming around the pole without damaging the sleeve. Any scratches to the pole are hidden by the sleeve. I think that is a nice touch.

Nice mailbox post. Easy assembly and looks great. Only thing is the post is not long enough to put 24" in ground so I added 5' of gray pvc to the inside of the post that extended out the bottom then concrete both in the ground which added the the strength. Not going anywhere anytime soon.

Replaced an old mailbox with this post and mailbox. Setting it into the concrete was easy and hop...
Replaced an old mailbox with this post and mailbox. Setting it into the concrete was easy and hopefully holds up better then the old wooden post with the snow. It is nice you can adjust the height of the box on the post level for the post office and my SUV.

Good Post
Website says steel but box says aluminum. Pole is steel, decorative base plastic, the balance is aluminum. Looks great will definitely add curb appeal. No instructions for mounting pole in slab so if you've not done it you'll need to prep. Easy to assemble. My biggest complaint was that one of the bolts was cross threaded. I thought that base being aluminum i could coax it in. The bolt sheared off I wasn't on the end of the wrench so not much leverage. We'll see if three bolts work otherwise I'll be buying an easy out. Overall I'm pleased would buy again.

Advertised as Aluminum Construction....IT IS NOT!!!!
I purchased this Post kit thinking I was getting quality materials that would be maintenance free for years.
I was shocked to find out the post is steel, not aluminum and the base is plastic, which will be destroyed by weedeater line in a season. Its a nice looking post, but I would have returned it, if I hadn't already set the post in concrete.

This worked out really well for me. I had an older mailbox which was vandalized but the 2" round...
This worked out really well for me. I had an older mailbox which was vandalized but the 2" round pole in the ground was still fine and very solid (although not perfectly straight - but it definitely wasn't going anywhere!).
Rather than trying to get a new bracket for the old post, I purchased this which I could slide over the old pole! I did need to flip the new pole upside down so the screws on the new pole would not cause a problem - and rather than sinking this pole into the ground I just allowed it to rest on the ground. This was an added advantage as the entire pole will *rotate* on the old pole if it is struck again by vandals!
So now the new mailbox pole sits over the old one, and it looks great.

This mailbox post looks great and was easy to install. I like how it has a sleeve around the base...
This mailbox post looks great and was easy to install. I like how it has a sleeve around the base that can be moved up when mowing and trimming around the post. The other nice feature is that you can adjust the height so it meets the USPS requirements.
