Manufacturer should make it clear on the box that no mounting hardware is included!!! Fortunately, i opened the box before leaving the store to check.

Did NOT fit the Architectural "Patriot" mailbox. Only 2 holes lined up. All others were off

The plastic pre drilled mounting holes need to have a metal top or backer to prevent screwing all the way through it.

Yes, this came, but I could not figure out how to use it. It was recommended by the company who makes the mailboxes, but it didn't seem to work, so I used some of the hardware pieces, but not the mounting plate, and I mounted it onto the old wooden piece that was on the previous mailbox . . . that was falling apart (the wooden piece). Then I had to buy some plastic wood filler from Home Depot to repair much of the old badly chipped and weathered board that had been in place previously. Never could actually use the mounting plate. I wasn't so pleased with the mailbox. Thankfully, some of the screws worked for the very old piece of thin wood that I had.
