great product, easy to use and make custom lengths and connections with. Remote works great. Even better with the aluminum track and diffuser that was purchased separately.

The lights are great but install was a pain. The connector clips included didn’t work to splice and go around the microwave! So frustrating, ending up soldering and worked well! Just wasted a lot of time. If it wasn’t for the issue with the connectors I would have given 5 stars.

I used this ribbonflex tape light kit to illuminate the stairs going up to the loft in my cabin. It was super easy to install - just peel the paper backing off the ribbon and press into place. It adhered extremely well. I found that at the 10% level the light was bright enough. There is the option for warm light, cool light or a combination of both. The remote is self explanatory - easy to use. The kit comes with connectors and instructions on how to cut and connect extra ribbons, which I did not need. It also includes helpful instructions for optimal placement for under or over cabinet lighting.

The RibbonFlex Home 16 ft. LED Tunable White Tape Light Kit with Remote is a very versatile lighting system that can be installed in numerous ways. I plan to use it for over the cabinet tops for indirect ceiling lighting. 16 foot tape is fully assembled and ready to use out of the box, or can be cut and joined as required. Includes 2 jumpers for making sharp tuns, and can be cut in 6" increments and rejoined with solder if you are handy. The supplied remote controls all functions and is easy to operate. The remote can control several kits if desired. Color tuning is handy and works great, cool white to warm white. This is a great product to modernize your kitchen or any indoor living space!

I have tried a couple of strip LED lights over the past two years and they either come as RGB or RGBW formats. While they are good for mood lighting and parties, for regular use they do not fit my bill. This is because the white color generated by them is never a true white. The RGBW have a separate white LED but they are usually very expensive and not that bright/dimmable for accent lighting. The other problem is that most "tunable white" LED strips on market do not have a wireless remote. I think ARMACOST has come up with a decent solution in this space. I like that it has two dedicated LEDs (pic) for cool white and warm white. It generates neutral white by turning on both LEDs at the same time. The other thing to highlight is that it does not have a flimsy plugin power adapter, but a professional grade 24v LED power supply, which can also be hard wired if needed. This is a great feature to have if you are looking to hard wire them under the cabinet for accent lighting. I have used them for my bedroom for accent lighting and they look great. They can be dimmed significantly on the warm white setting to be used as night light. The remote also offers a shortcut to 10%, 50% or 100% brightness, along with the color temperature settings.

Armacost Lighting RibbonFlex White Tape Light Kit with remote - hard to believe this much light comes from this simple piece of tape! I am moving to a new home in the fall and was quoted over $800 for under-cabinet lighting and thought why would I pay $600 when I can purchase this Armacost Ribbonflex tape light kit for less than $40? Well I ordered this light kit and boy am I happy I did! This turnable white light kit comes with 16 ft of 2700 LED tape lights, an RF remote control, wire lead connector to bridge additional tapes and splice connector to extend the tape length as well as the 12 V power supply. The tape with 400 lumens of dimmable LED light is only 3/8ths wide and the entire kit weighs less than ½ lb. There are several advantages to this particular tape light kit, first it can be hard wired or directly plugged in to your electrical outlet, hard wiring definitely looks cleaner but it should be done by someone with experience. There are multiple warnings that these tape lights should never be connected directly to 120 V household power, it should only be connected to a 12 V power supply. The next big advantage is you can easily connect additional tape strings as well as splice or cut to fit the existing tape light. You can customize the length every 4 inches which is perfect when using them for cabinet lighting or alcove ceiling lighting. Third, the power use is very minimal; a 16 ft string uses less than 20 W of power at 100%. Fourth, these lights are controlled with an RF remote control and the lights are not only dimmable from 0 to 100% but you can also choose the type of light you prefer, warm white, neutral or cool. Last, each string has an adhesive backing which makes installation particularly easy and is perfect for under or above cabinet lighting or for accents on a tray ceiling. An easy to follow instruction pamphlet is included and diagrams are available showing cutting and splicing of the tape and how to bridge additional tapes. Up to 3 tapes can be bridged together to one power source but the longer the connected tape strings are the more chance you have of inconsistent brightness of the lights further from the power source. The Armacost Tape Light kit is designed in the USA but manufactured in China (I sure hope some of this manufacturing moves back to the USA!). There is 180 day return and the warranty is a 3 yr limited . These lights are for indoor use ONLY. I highly recommend the Armacost tape lights, installation is fairly easy and they are perfect for under-cabinet or above cabinet lighting and can be used in alcoves or tray ceilings. No matter where they are used they really add a nice touch to the ambiance of any room. I love these tape lights and find it amazing that a small thin piece of tape can produce this much light!

I used this LED ribbon tape to illuminate the bed of my 3D printer. It was great that the strips take 24V as that meant I could wire it directly to the power supply of the printer (also 24V). You can cut the strips at intervals and use the included connectors to join two segments. (Hint - carefully read the instructions as to how to use the connectors - I didn't and had problems initially.) The LEDs are bright and the controller built in to the supply cable remembers the last setting. You don't have to use the included power supply if you don't need it.

Initially had trouble with the remote not working. A call to Armacost had a new unit here the next day.

Everthing has worked well.

Great way to save money on under cabinet lighting! It took two college educated people to figure out the install using the channel accessory, but it was worth it. Knowledge of soldering and splicing is needed if you have a big project with several turns, etc.
