Why all the misfires? About half the time it fires, no staple is driven, it just dry fires. That can't be normal.
Asked by: Rob
I have that problem every now and then. It seems to me, it happens when I set the stapler down and pusch forward on it once material contact is made.

Could this tool be used to staple indoor/outdoor carpet to a 2x6 piece of treated pine?
Asked by: Randall
Hello, Randall. Yes, this tool should work for that type of project. Make sure the staple chosen will penetrate the surface at least 3/16-inch for a secure hold. The staple size should be the thickness of the carpet base (not including the pile), plus 3/8-inch. If you're fastening the carpet outdoors, you may also want to use corrosion-resistant stainless-steel staples or rustproof Monel staples. If you have any other questions about this project, feel free to reach out to us directly at customercare@arrowfastener.com or 800-776-2228. -Your Arrow Fastener team

Is this staple gun good for upholstery projects? I want to reupholster a chair. What size staple is recommended?
Asked by: JoeJoe
I would think that this stapler would work just fine for upholstery projects. I would imagine that staple size would depend on what type of material you are working with. This stapler simply makes stapling much easier because it's pneumatic. I love it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trigger Leaking Air - Brand New Stapler The first time I went to use a brand new PT50 stapler it started leaking air at the trigger. Fortunately I just purchased it so I took it back and exchanged it. Tested the second stapler so far no issues. It would be nice to know exactly why it started leaking and what the fix is because I'm sure the new one will start leaking some time in the future most likely after the 3 year warranty. Is it an O-ring or a valve seat. Can you get parts, a rebuild kit or the size of the parts i.e. O-ring. Or is it a throw away. The manual is extremely limited. Can you adjust the depth the staplers are driven into the material? Do you adjust the air pressure?

After about 1000- 1500 staples these all failed. Bought this pneumatic stapler which was 1/2 the price of the electric and so far it is fantastic. Fast, accurate, light weight, doesn't overheat (like the electric). Easy to load and light weight. Recommend a light weight air hose to go with this light weight stapler. Ran about 1000 staples through on my first use; hopefully I don't have to add to this review later like the electric version!
