Product Details

T'Fusor Diffusors are made from a lightweight and sturdy thermoplastic material that are perfect for eliminating slap back & flutter echo, without removing sound energy from the room. The T'Fusor can drop easily into ceiling grids and is wall mountable with Tubetak Pro, EZ-Stick Pro Tabs or mechanical fasteners. The T'Fusor is able to impart a sense of controlled spaciousness and work best when mounted with a varying alignment of the "T in. pattern. Improved broadband diffusion can be achieved by filling the back cavity of the T'Fusor Diffusor with acoustic foam or 1 in. rigid fiberglass.

              A:  it is wayyyyyyyy too high for what the diffusion this panel offers. The largest retailer in the world has 4 packs of 1 ft2 panels that work as well and are a lot easier to use. This thing was design ed as a ceiling grid drop in and it is really difficult to use any other way. I know. I bought four of them and returned tham after comparing their performance with acoustic instruments. Buy the 4 packs at "you know where" for $15.99 and get the same coverage and equal diffusion.

                Worked amazing at taming my theater room acoustics when deployed with bass traps and reflection point absorption. They are well made from a nice thick material that makes them very tough but not too heavy. They are very easy to mount with the included "Pro-tabs" double sided tape on a wide variety of surfaces too(even fabric). These are mainly used as diffusers but Auralex has more recently measured a fair amount of absorption from these also especially when filled with their mineral wool acoustic insulation or similar. They can also be deployed as a facing for absorber panels to increase the broadband absorption of the panel and add diffusion at the same time. Highly recommended!

                I have these wall mounted, but probably better to use...
                I have these wall mounted, but probably better to use as a drop in unit in a grid ceiling. They do protrude quite a bit, though.
