Q:Is the actual blade high carbon hardened steel

      Answer This Question

A:  Theres a difference in carbide and carbon steel. The packaging states that the tips are made of carbide. Now for the rest of the saw I'm not sure of its make as I had the same question. My intended purpose will be to chop the blade up to make a knife out of so if anyone does know what the rest is made of please respond as well.

      by|May 4, 2023

        A:  Hardened tooth edge.

        by|May 4, 2023

A:  The manufacturer advertises on the blade that the cutting tips on the blade are carbon steel, not the entire saw blade. I believe they are carbon steel. If you don't trust the manufacturer, I would not buy the blade. They are a big company and I doubt they would falsely advertise how the blade was made.

          by|May 10, 2020

A:  Only the tips are carbon steel, they do the cutting. Mike

First task was ripping some oak blocks (had to flip to cut all the way through). Worked great without any burn. Pine was a cake walk. Excellent for the price

                    Works great.
Fit my Ryobi table saw just fine. I've used this blade to rip treated lumber for my house skirt. I have a raised house and need plenty of air flow underneath the house. This blade performance is great. It's a great value.
