Does this have the vent alarm?

can I get this with a 11/4" vent
Asked by Jim October 8, 2019No we do not offer an 11/4” oil tank accessory kit because the national standard, referred to as UL80, does not allow for either an 11/4” fill or vent. UL 80 mandates a 2” fill line, 2” vent line and separate 2” gauge. The thinking is that modern oil trucks pump the oil into the tank with such velocity that smaller vent or fill lines will result in pressure building in the tank which could lead to a catastrophic rupture. Granted I am aware that many inspectors do not inforce the national standard as written. But due to the uninsurable damage that can be caused by an oil tank failure we only offer the kits this way.

Does this gauge work on the 330 gallon tank. I would assume so because its the same depth
Asked by Brian July 28, 2017Great question and great logic. Yes it will. The difference between a 275 vertical tank and a 330 vertical tank is that the 330 is a foot longer. Thus the other two dimensions are the same. Meaning the stamped caps that form the end are the same. Thus the same gauge will work in both.

Asked by Seefly December 26, 2016The shipping plugs that come in the oil tanks are there to protect the tank during manufacturing and shipping. They are NOT permanent. They must all be removed during installation and either utilized or properly plugged and inspected.
How does this screw into top of tank? Does it require a male adapter to screw into the tank?
Asked by Flyboy October 20, 2014You need two 1 1/4 inch nipples to attach the filler spout and the vent/fuel guage. This set includes a filler spout and cap but not the nipples. You're also going to need a couple of 1 1/4 inch pipe plugs for the other holes on the tank I installed this set on the 275 gal vertical tank
