This product is designed for central forced air heating and cooling systems. It might not be suitable for electric baseboard heaters. The deflectors are designed to change the airflow direction of air from a forced-air heating system. On an electric baseboard, they would probably just trap heat and then get over-heated.
I belive so. You will need double stick tape
I guess it could, although it's designed for floors. It has pretty strong magnets on it so it might work on the ceiling, depending on the type of grate you have.
yes, the length can be adjusted between 15" and 25".
We recommend checking with your local builders code to verify. However, the following information may be helpful in answering your question: Note that in some areas it is part of the building code to have a vent under a window. If more than one window is in a room then at least 1 vent needs to be installed. "Window glass is the coldest part of a wall. When warm room air hits it, the air cools, and cool air sinks. ... The placement of forced-air heat registers or baseboard heating units under the windows counteracts this process by sending up warm air to mix with the cool. The end result is that the room feels more comfortable"
This directs the air down.
Down
It directs the air down. I use it in my vents in front of my windows. It works. Would give 3 out of 5 stars because it does need to be repositioned once in a while
It seems that it's designed to direct the air downward. You may be able to reposition it to change the direction, as shown in the photos.
Depends on how you position it. If you mount it on the floor, it will direct the air out. If you mount it on a baseboard vent, then it will direct the air down.
If you direct the curve facing down as the picture shows, it does direct the air flow down and across the floor. There's no way to adjust it so that product is angled further upwards due to curvature, magnet placement, gravity, etc. On the other hand, one of the cats has figured out that it is THE place to stretch out if she wants to be blown with warm air during the winter.
Down
This product is meant for central forced air heating and cooling applications only.
Mine is used over an air vent. I have electric heat but only air is at the vent coming through from duct work.
The deflectors are designed to change the airflow direction of air from a forced-air heating system. On an electric baseboard, they would probably just trap heat and then get over-heated.
It will just make the air deflect straight out before it goes into the room and not up and get waisted behind a curtain
Yes. But only on a baseboard vent, so it won't break if it falls (which is very likely)
I would imagine they would if you flip them over
Yes! that is exactly what I'm looking for! I am wondering if the baseboard deflector can be attached to my electric stove heater because the small heater is at the top and goes up.
Thank you for your suggestion! Deflecto will look into the possibility of new product designs for wall heaters and electric fireplaces.
