You have to change the frequency codes on one of the fans. They have the ability to set up 16 different codes. Leave one fan alone and change the other. Download the Manual online and refer to page 10. Once you code the second fan differently this will not happen.

We're sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the remote. Please call Home Decorators Collection customer service at 1-800-986-3460 and ask to speak to a manufacturer's representative. Depending on the age of the fan, the receiver may be covered under the warranty.

Thank you for your question. Yes, the fan can be connected to wall switches instead of using the remote. Please note that the fan can not be installed with both the remote receiver and connected to wall control switches. If using a wall control for speed control, the switch must be a variable speed switch (not a dimmer style switch.

Can this track the fan's status? (i.e. if it's on/off and at what speed).

Yes, when you setup the fan, and you select it from the dashboard it will show its current state (on/off), air direction (summer=down/winter=up), and what speed you have it set to. It can also show any of the other features active, like a timer or "natural breeze" if you have those features baked into the fan.

Have they taken care of the lighting issue? I just bought two of them but will return them if they havent corrected the problem. Thank you.

Thank you for your question. The smart hub converts the fan into a smart fan to be used with an app on your smart device (phone or tablet) or via voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It is not required if you do not want the smart features. If you want to have a fan without the smart features, we would recommend the same fan without the smart hub - model #41359.

For My Master Bedroom
I bought this for my Master Bedroom and I thought it was pretty easy to install. The only thing I do not like about it is the airflow on the settings. I use this when I sleep at night. On the low setting I can barely feel the air. The medium setting is a just a little better so I have to use the high setting at night - my original fan (which I think was a Hunter) I always used the low setting at night. I do have to say that it is very quiet and the light has the dimmer feature which is really nice (but dimmer feature does not work with Alexa). Also, when you change the settings on the fan you do hear a click from the motor. The On and Off for the light, the fan and the setting speeds all work great with Alexa. You do have to manually change the reversing switch. One more thing about the installation (at least with the flush mount) - when you go to connect the wires from the receiver to the house wires it says to "hang the fan on the hook provided". I looked everywhere for the hook and did not find one so I used and S-hook that I had but once I went to use the hook I discovered what they meant. There is a "protrusion or nipple" on the mounting bracket itself so I am going to assume that that is what they mean by a hook. The pictures is showing the other side of the white blade(s)

Turns on by itself
I have 4 of these fans professionally installed by an electrician. They turn on by themselves randomly with no rhyme or reason. Quality is poor. Where are all the American made products Home Depot?

The LED light goes out too quick
I purchased 3 each, of these ceiling fans. However, one of the fan’s light went out like two or three months after having them installed. I swapped the burned out LED light from the study since that room has pot lights. About a week or two later that light too went out. Not sure what to do at these point. I am going to order 2 each, 14 watt led lights and will have to get an electrician to come out again but, will point out what we have been experiencing with this specific ceiling fan.

Light does not work. According to the electrician, no electricity running thru the light that connects the fan to light kit. Did not return cause it was and additional $55 to bring down the fan and $55 to install again.

Lacks lighting options and difficult to install
The fan did not meet my expectations due to difficulty of installation, no other light options, and cheap-looking, plastic blades. Here are a few helpful tips: 1. You will not be able to replace the light with a different color. The light has a warmer/yellow tint. The white globe does not correct the color. I prefer a cooler daylight of 5000k. This bulb is 3000k, and you cannot find a different replacement. 2. Be sure the fan is rotating counter-clockwise in warmer weather. My fan was present to clockwise (to be used in cooler weather). If you do not feel much of a breeze, check the direction and correct it with the direction button on the remote. 3. Limit the amount of time the fan motor assembly sits on the mount hook while connecting the wires. The motor assembly edge can and will bend which will prevent it from fitting on the mount once the wires are connected. If it does bend and will not attach to the mount in the ceiling, you can remove the mount, bend the motor assembly with pliers and a rag (to prevent scratching), and keep checking the fitting of the mount and assembly. This will save you from going up and down a ladder each time you need to check if you’ve bent the fan motor assembly correctly. 4. The light is dimmable; you just press and hold the light button when the light is on to dim it. 5. The fan blades are connected by 3 screws each. The deepest screw in the fan motor assembly is impossible to screw in all the way for each fan blade. 6. There is not clear direction on how the remove receiver sits on the mount. 7. The fan blades are cheap-looking plastic.

When it works its great
I purshased this because i like having smart devices and i hate having to get up to either find the remote or switch to turn on or off the fans. I have multiple fans and soloution was less expensive that buying multiple smart fans. Installation was easy enough and adding the Alexa skill was simple enough and on the first try all fans were voice controlled. My biggest disappointment is thar the power connecter was loose at the device and it kept losing power. So im going to return this one and make one final second attempt. I enjoyed it enough to give it a second chance

The fan works well and is very quiet. Great features available with the remote and Google assist. No climbing to slide a switch to change the direction of the fan, it's on the remote, as well as a beeeze option and timed shut off and more. Looks great in our 95 year old home.
