Can this product be used in edible plants or vegetables?

Thank you for your question regarding Bonide's Infuse Concentrate. No; this product cannot be used on vegetables or edible plants in general. However, non-bearing fruit and nut trees (those trees that will not produce fruit for at least one year after application) such as apple, citrus, pecan, and walnut are included on the label. Apricots, cherries, nectarine, peaches, plums and prunes are also included on the label;however, spray applications are limited and can only be done in early spring in accordance with the instructions on the label.

Is it possible to use this product in a pump sprayer?

Asked by Adam August 2, 2019

Answers

Yes, that is the preferred method. Read the instructions and mix according to what type of shrub or tree you're treating and for what disease. Apply only when recommended (some plants won't tolerate it in certain seasons or relative to blooms). Spray until the liquid just drips off the leaves.

Is this sprayed on the leaves?

Thank you for your question. Infuse Concentrate does need to be sprayed on leaf surfaces to be absorbed into the plant. Please do not apply it to the soil.

Thank you for your email. Infuse is not effective on black rot of grapes. Please consider using Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide, Captan, Fruit Tree Spray and/or Mancozeb instead.

For mature crab apple trees with Rust, is it better to apply during the Spring for rust on leaves...

Asked by DIY October 27, 2019

Answer

Thank you for your question. Yes, Infuse should be applied in the spring as the new leaves are emerging to prevent the rust from occurring. Unfortunately, even systemic products such as Infuse must be applied to the leaf surface to be effective. There is no ground treatment at this time.

Is this a liquid that you mix with water? Or do you use it straight from the container?

Asked by MLM May 24, 2020

Answer

Thank you for your question. Infuse Concentrate does need to be mixed with water as directed on the label.

Can this product be used on hydrangea and limelight hydrangea trees?

Asked by Art August 13, 2019
1
Answer

Thank you for your question. Infuse cannot be used on hydrangeas. Pesticides such as Infuse can only be used on the plants specifically listed on the label. Please consider using Liquid Copper Fungicide or Fung-onil, as both can be used on hydrangeas.

Is this product good for treating take-all root rot fungus?

This is not for drench application, so it will not address this problem. Please see this article for more information: https://extension.psu.edu/fungal-root-rots-and-chemical-fungicide-use

How do you know what dial setting to use when pouring in a product.

Asked by mazie October 3, 2019

Answer

Thank you for your question. For Infuse Concentrate, the rate depends on the type of plant you are applying the product to, and for lawn what disease. If the type of plant is not listed, you should not use the product on that plant. Bonide does have the label available on the website, below is the web address to the label. https://www.bonide.com/assets/Products/Labels/l147.pdf

How do I mix this product and apply it to rosebushes

Asked by Jeanie August 8, 2019
1
Answer

Thank you for your question. Infuse Concentrate can be mixed at 1 tbsp. per gallon of water for prevention and control of powdery mildew or 2 tbsp. per gallon of water for black spot and rust issues. Shake the concentrate well before diluting in water. Apply an even and thorough application to the leaves and stems, everything above the soil and up. Do not apply to the soil as the product solution is not effective when applied to the ground. Make sure there is no rain or irrigation for at least 12 hours after application so the fungicide can absorb into the plant material.

I am a novice gardener. Last year I let the kids pick a variety of seeds. We started jiffy pots indoors and eventually moved outdoors in Spring. One year later buds started to form on our mixed hollyhock!...but so did a bunch of ugly orange spots under the leaves. We had just released some ladybugs (from Insect Lore) and I had sprayed water on the leaves for the ladybugs. This was probably the catalyst. Silly me thought it could be ladybug eggs? No. Fungus. It started taking over. Most websites said to put the hollyhocks out of their misery, but I couldn't. With the combination of Infuse and FungOil a few days apart, the hollyhocks took off and have been blooming beautifully for the last few weeks. The fungus has faded from the stems - darkened but still visible. Most of the leaves look healthy. A few spots show up here and there - 3 weeks later. But nothing like before. The entire leaf would be covered, now 2-3 spots. I clean my shears (mist w rubbing alcohol and wipe), cut off and immediately dispose of the leaves. I removed the old mulch and some of the surrounding soil and replaced it with fresh. I stay on top of weeds bc I read some can carry the fungus. The war is not over but I am sure they would have been toast by now if not for Infuse and FungOil.
