Johnson hardware offers a soft close assembly. You will probably need to purchase their frame and track kit. Here are their links. What ever size door you want to put ... the opening has to be double that size. Keep in mind that the door has to slide away. So if you only have 36 inches your door will have to be prob smaller than 18 inches. We installed a 36 inch pocket door and our opening to get the frame in was approx. 75 inches. I hope I understood your question. Thanks
The track and hardware is rated not to exceed 50 lbs.
The opening is 1 15/16" wide on the door frame I bought. Theoretically a 1 3/4" door should fit.My issue is the specifications say the maximum frame width is 4.75", so that is the width of my wall framing there. In fact, it is only 4 3/16" wide. So I have to modify my framing.
No, the Johnson 1-3/4" adapter kit will not work with this frame.

No, it is for 80'' doors.
1-3/8" thick door is the thickest door you should use with this kit.
