Answer This Question
A:Â Yes it works very well, it covers all aspects of your face from sparks that fly off the grinder, and it is very comfortable

A:Â I've busted a few cut off metal cutting wheel and was protected with a face shield of far less quality. I do believe that the quality of this face shield will protect from busted cut off wheels. Remember to use goggle under your face shield. One pair of eyes.

I Feel Protected Wearing This
This is way better than the flimsy face shield it replaces and it's only a couple of dollars more. Easy to fit, flip and comfortable too.

I was looking for a replacement face shield clear front peice only, but they didn't have them at my Home Depot, so I looked at all of them and they had really flimsy plastic covering that was thin, and they didn't cover if something came over the top and skid down your forehead to your eyes, but this Bullard one had a forehead peice that connects to your mask, so nothing can go slid into your eyes from over your head, and the plastic is really sturdy, thick ans durable.. And the price was right too!! I wish they did carry replacement clear shield individual peices though, instead buying the whole set up over & over!! But i'm really pleased with stumbling across this gem, and I feel alot safer sanding down wood, and nit fearful of flying debris getting into my eyes!!

The face shield is just what I needed. I had a project to build a series of shelves with members of my scout troop. Each person that was using power equipment used t he face shield. It fit everyone from 12 year old boys to adults very comfortably. The clarity of the shield made working with the measurements and cutting very easy. A well made quality product.

I wear glasses, so using a face shield is way more easy than wearing over-the-glasses goggles. I really like this face shield! The head strap is so easily adjustable, I have no problems using this after my son wears it. The head circumference is adjusted by simply turning a crank on the back. The shield is easily tilted up for ease of sight when adjusting tools or workpieces. It clicks on positive stops and stays where you put it. I look forward to usng these time after time!

This face shield does exactly what it was designed for, protecting your face. I got this for cutting a huge stump in our backyard with a chainsaw. When I started, I wore ear plugs, safety glasses, and an N95 mask to keep the saw dust out of my lungs. With that combination of protection, my glasses would fog up within 5 or 10 seconds of working on the stump. I experimented with taking the mask off and leaving the glasses on, but after working on the tree stump for an hour or two, I'd be hacking and coughing all weekend. I tried taking the glasses off, and inevitably, I'd end up with some debris in my eye.
So I ordered this face shield, and alas, I can wear my N95 face mask to keep the saw dust out of my lungs, and still have eye protection that does not fog up on me.
This mask came in a bag and needed some assembly. The assembly was straight forward, but it took a few tries to get the flat plastic face shield to wrap around the head band, and click into place. The head band fits comfortably, and the visor lifts up sort of like a welding mask, for when you don't need it, but don't want to take it off.
I'd say it's well worth the price for fog free eye/face protection.

I've seen these before and always wanted one. You have to remember these are good eye protection but they should be supplemented by another piece of personal protection like goggles. These are mostly used when working with chemicals. I like it for other applications such as weed-whacking and when using a grinder. But there also you will need another type of eye protection with this. It came unassembled. It was relatively easy to put together. Putting the clear plastic shield on the headgear was slightly difficult but that's a good thing because otherwise it would also easily come off the headgear. Shield is held on by a turnable camlock in a slotted hole. There's a knob in the back you turn to make the headband larger and smaller to fit your head. I found a box it goes in to store it to keep it new looking and working well. New clear plastic shields are easy to find and inexpensive. If the old one gets scratched up or damaged you may want to replace it.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a better face shield for around the yard work than this one. I work for a large construction company, and part of our standard issue equipment is a hard hat and face shield. This Bullard face shield blows that one out of the water in terms of both comfort, quality, and in my opinion protection.
The shield itself is very clear, sturdy, and plenty long for protection of both face and neck. It has a nice soft headband and the adjustments for tightness and fit are awesome. You simply turn a dial on the back. It also features a great plastic dome like shield at the top of the clear shield for had protection. My other one doesn’t have that. I use it when weed whacking and using the chainsaw mainly. You could also use it when dealing chemicals or any time you want to keep anything out of you face.
This Bullard Professional face shield helps protect your face and eyes. It is light weight made of ABS black. It has a ratchet system to adjust the size of your head. Another nice feature is the washable and replaceable brow pad to help keep the sweat from getting into your eyes. A must have you are grinding or anything that can come in contact with your eyes.

The face shield comes in two pieces, the head gear and the clear face visor. The face visor is attached to the head gear per instructions on the package. The clear visor is replaceable. If the face visor gets damaged, broken or severely scratched a replacement visor can be purchased and reattached to the head gear. The full assembled face shield is adjustable to fit different head sizes and is light weight. The visor is clear and provides good visibility. There is a side ratchet to permit the visor to be raised and lowered. It is intended to protect the face from chemical and other potential physical back throws from grinding, welding and cutting. However, protective eye wear must still be worn under the shield to satisfy safety standards. There is also enough room under the shield to wear a basic disposable respirator type mask. This is a basic and fairly inexpensive full face shield for light to moderate work projects. So if you need occasional additional face protection for applicable projects this shield should work well without investing a lot of money.

I am an avid woodworker and consider a face shield an essential part of that hobby. When using a lathe, a face shield is essential. In the attached photos I show me using it with a table saw. I don't always use it with a table saw but on certain cuts I do. When I am suspicious that small cuts might fly towards me, I always use it. I have had my blade toss parts up into my face on occasion. I also use it when using a router on occasion, again depending on the kind of cut I am doing. The shield is very light. It easily fits over other eye protection. I can use ear protection with it also. It takes some adjusting to get it to fold up and stay up after I finish the cut. There are two knobs on each side of the head the control the firmness of the shield. If the knobs are too tight then the shield comes off your head when lifting it. If they are too loose the shield won't stay up and falls right back down in place. That is the only adjustment that just takes some fiddling. Other than that, it is a good product and will protect your eyes. Oh, and I also use it when trimming my lawn with the power trimmer. For sure, it comes in handy there.
