A:  Hi Needarak - The LT13 includes padlocks to secure the pins in place and help deter theft. The padlock is a great feature, when deciding on a trimmer rack.

    A:  I went with this model because it is very secure. Trimmers fit very well and stay in place. The rubber coating holds them in place and limits movement during transportation. The snap in might be faster but I am very satisfied with this type.

        A:  The rack is designed to mount on the topside of a trailer frame rail. Mounting the rack to the bed of a truck would require drilling into the bed. Mounting bolts are 1-1/4" long, so additional hardware may be required.

          A:  Actually, you can use automotive muffler clamps to mount these to a tubular rail. I did it on my trailer.

            A:  The bottom of the rack is flat, it comes with hard ware but I dont think the bolts will be long enough to make it through the tube. You will have to drill into the frame.
