Good afternoon! For the safety of the tree, please ensure that the glue side is placed away from the bark. Placing the glue side on the bark will defeat the purpose of the trap, harm the tree, and make it difficult to remove. If you have birds, consider placing a feeder further away from the trap to avoid any issues.
You can attach chicken wire around the tree. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYGPACsdeBk
Hi JJS369, This product is designed to have the sticky portion facing out rather than in; if it's facing in, a great deal of the sticky surface area will be making contact with tree bark and will not be usable for catching anything.
I've never had a bird once get stuck on this tape you should rethink your question! second if the birds did there job in the first place there would be no need for this product so your ignorance is amusing to say the least! BIRDS DO NOT GET STUCK!

Hello Carol! Catchmaster glue boards/traps come pre-scented and are formulated to work effectively without the need for additional bait. For optimal results, strategically place the glue boards along known or suspected pathways. For more information please contact us at info@catchmaster.com
Hello Lucy! We have developed that product to remain extremely soft and pliable through a wide range of temperatures and conditions. This allows the surface to act as a barrier to small crawling and flying insects while allowing larger, non-target species like birds and squirrels easily escape. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at info@catchmaster.com. Thank you!
Hello Jim, The trap is designed to withstand the elements but it could be possible to wear off depending on how severe the weather is. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact info@catchmaster.com
Thank you for your inquiry. The tree shield insect barrier will contain glue on one side of the strip and it is recommended to overlap the strip when wrapping around the tree, sticky side out, approximately 3 inches to fasten. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact info@catchmaster.com
Thank you for your inquiry Jill. The rain should not wash off the trapped insects but it may be possible depending on the amount of rain/storm. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact info@catchmaster.com
Hi Scott, thank you for your inquiry. We recommend wrapping trees at eye level to avoid contact with children. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to us at info@catchmaster.com.
