Answer This Question
A:Â You do not have to hard wire this motion sensor to the linkable strips or shoplights. You can simply put on the end to end connector and link the sensor to the end of the strip. If that does not work please contact customer service at 855-384-7754 for further assistance and we can get you a new sensor at no cost.

Randomly comes on inside closet
I tried the 7 ft ceiling dip switch setting and had to raise my hand inside closet for it to turn on, 26 ft ceiling setting worked better. However, in either mode it would turn on randomly (fairly frequently), with no movement, closet doors were shut. Not good when you're sleeping in the dark and the closet light randomly turns on behind the bifold doors. I wondered why there were only a couple on the shelf at Home Depot. Problematic design. I ended up taking it off - more reliable as a paper weight - and just use pull cord on Commercial Electric LED 4' fixture.

sometimes they turn off, sometimes they don't
I bought 2 of these to go with the plug and play led shop lights. I have one in the laundry room, and one in the adjacent work shop. IF they are off when I walk into the room, they always turn on beautifully. my trouble is, they don't always seem to turn off automatically. many times, I will walk into the room, and one or both will still be on, well after the shut off time had elapsed. I have changed the sensitivity and detection levels, but it does not seem to matter. Also, the one that does not turn off isn't always the same. that tells me it is an issue with the sensor, not the location.

So far, so good, I had two installed in my basement and they work beautifully. I bought three more for the basement. My only complaint is I had to buy them online the second time and the salesman didn't have a clue what I was talking about,. Home Depot does not have a good in-store stock of goods, and many times you are forced to buy what you don't want. When you get home, you look it up online and find it and have to return what you don't want.

Does not work
I direct-wired mine correctly according to the instructions, but the sensor doesn’t seem to work at all. The light works if I wire it directly, and I’ve double checked all of the connections from the sensor to the light, but no luck.
