CoolBot Generation 7 WiFi Walk-In Cooler Controller with Air Conditioner Control from 59F to 34F is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Retrofit old unit. I bought an old walk-in cooler. After talking to a friend who is in the AC business he convinced me not to trust the old unit that came with it. I had been looking into a CoolBot and it’s reviews for about a year. I bought a CoolBot and large window unit and retrofit to cool my walk-in that is a 6x12 and 9ft tall. I’ve used it now for several deer that my grandkids have harvested. It keeps the walk-in at about 35 degrees which gives us plenty of time to process them at our pace. We are planning to slaughter our own beef as well.

It has all the features of the original Cool-bot, but allows you to see and adjust the temperature of your cooler from the Cool-bot app on your phone, provide that you have Wi-Fi available. Also allows you to receive notifications if the cooler falls outside the desired temp range. I can see use the Cool-bot pro in many wrestle ways I will try to name some: hobby farms walk in cooler, vine brewers, beer brewers, small flower shops, fruits and veggie stores and etc., we use the original Cool-bot in our delivery trailer (yes I have to plug it in when is unhitched and I use power inverter when drive). Fantastic products that is dependable, easy to use and install, and come with a great support team. The cooler I bought long time ago came with a compressor, condenser, evaporating unit and mechanical thermostat that I chose not to use (tec install fee to high) as the cool-bot/AC setup is much easier to install by myself and uses less electricity than a compressed (split) unit. Also if the AC ever goes out it would be faster (and cheaper) to swap out than have an HVAC tech come out to fix the split unit and with cool-bot you do not have to be HVAC/EPA certified.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from coolbot pro I built an 8x8 foot cooler in the back of my shipping container. With the coolbot pro and 12,000 btu ac I can easily get the temp to 36 degrees in about 20 minutes with the outside temp in the 80's. Wifi is a must have upgrade, and it is nice to be able to see and control the temp anywhere. Cheaper than buying a walk in cooler.

I've read lots of great things about the CoolBot for a while on home brewing forums and did some research. It's an affordable way to build a walk in cooler for food, cheesemaking or home brewing. Instead of using an expensive cooling unit for a walk in cooler that costs thousands of dollars you can use the CoolBot with window air conditioner for considerably less. Window air conditioners don't go below about 60 degrees which isn't cool enough for refrigeration but hooking it up to the CoolBot allows the CoolBot to get temperatures as low as 32 degrees. You just need a well insulated room. You can build your own walk in cooler or adapt an existing one to use this for cooling. Then just remove the AC's temperature sensors and attach it to the coolbot heater and put the CoolBot temperature sensor in the AC fins instead. There are detailed instructions and videos available on the website. You'll also want to check to see what air conditioner size they recommend and what model as not all of them will work with CoolBot. It needs to have a digital display for starters. The main new thing in this model is it now can be controlled remotely with the CoolBot Jumper and a WiFi connection. The controls on the CoolBot are a little confusing until you get used to them but using the web interface makes things simpler. There is no app, just a webpage you can access from any device. It would have been nice if they had an app as well, even if just an app that loaded the webpage. From the web interface you can set the set temperature, temperature range, different adjustments as well as set up text and/or email notifications. There's also a chart showing the room temperature for the last hour, 6 hours, day, week or month. Everything is pretty easy to use but there was one thing that seems like a bug that I found that hopefully gets sorted out. After setting the temperature and temperature range in the web interface, then going to change the set temperature on the CoolBot device itself, the set temperature did change on the device and the web interface, but the temperature range didn't change right away. Eventually the temperature range did change but only one bound to make the range fit in the bounds making the temperature range very wide. That's not a huge deal especially if you plan to mainly make adjustments through the web. It's a great device that can turn a space into a walk in cooler and save a lot of money for hobbyists or professionals and the web interface gives you a lot of control and the ability to keep an eye on temperatures.

I use it with 28,000 BTU Frigidaire A/C to maintain 38 degrees F +\- 4 degrees for cut flowers. The A/C does not freeze up and the A/C compressor seems to not be overworked.

I am just starting a floral business and it was much cheaper to build a walk in cooler and use a LG window cooler and this cool bot control. I love being able to see from my phone how it is doing.

I have been playing with the idea of making a walk in cooler so I bought this and used this for my walk in meat cooler this was by far the best buy. After pricing what I would need to put together the things I would need to make a traditional walk-in cooler this was buy best the best offer price wise. I went a little over on the insulation but had no problems keeping it at 33 degrees and the amount of money I saved on energy that this small device uses was definitely well worth it
