The year of the model DOES matter. On various Cub Cadet Dealers web sites, you will find that there is a 2023 model "2023 CC30H" and a 2024 model "2024 CC30H". There is a difference in price, and that MATTERS. So is this 2024 or 2023 model?

Hello Bill. The Cub Cadet CC30H is a hydrostatic drive riding lawn mower which means that it operates like a car. The speed is controlled by the gas pedal. It is important to remember, though, that the unit must be run at full throttle. Thank you for your question.

Summarized by generative AI from text of customer reviews

Customers say the Cub Cadet CC30H riding mower is an excellent choice for small to medium-sized lawns, particularly due to its compact size, hydrostatic drive, and tight turning radius. Many appreciate its ease of use, comfortable seating, and the ability to mow in reverse. However, some users have noted challenges with uneven cutting on slopes and the need for multiple passes in taller grass. Overall, the mower performs well for its intended purpose, making lawn care more enjoyable and efficient.

                          Nice Mower
I love the newer look and get lots of compliments and people asking about it, however, I could have gotten a bigger and about 2x the horse power one for about the same price but it wouldn't fit through my fence. 1. The deck feels cheap due to it twisting when going over uneven parts of lawn, probably cause it's plastic. 2. Slightly vibrates when blade is engaged. 3. Careful turning if you have a bumpy lawn, I hit a small divet and almost ripped the front wheel off the rod. 4. Starting to run a little rough only after running about 6 times. 5. The top back body that attaches to the back rail broke where the screws attache it, I'm guessing stress cracks and screws fell out, there was no shipping damage and I didn't do it I just found the screws when I blew it off and searched where they came from. 6. Cuts like a Mohawk. On the positive side: looks cool, fun to use, cuts in reverse with the pedal, turns sharp, smaller, hose to deck and bagger works excellent. I love this rider, I just wish it didn't feel like I'm going to break it do to the flimsy build and plastic parts. I only bought it because my knees are getting bad and this one fits through my fence. I take very good care of everything I own so hopefully this will last a long time. I have only had this for 7 months and tried to find a part number to see if it's covered under warranty but the web site doesn't show it, it should be covered because I think there stress cracks from the vibrations of the machine.

                            Great rider
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this machine. Perfect for a smaller yard and goes up hills just fine. Makes a fat man happy to not have to push a mower anymore. I do wish the seat slid like the other mowers. You have to unscrew a nob to move the seat back and forth. Also don’t know how long the foam around the steering column will last. It should probably be plastic or metal.

Excellent mower, powerful with great maneuverability. I really like the hydrostatic drive and quick change between forward and reverse. I like rear engine mowers and the Cub Cadet is very nice quality.

                            I LOVE IT !!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used a push mower my entire life and I’m 32 years old. But ever since I got my own house with my own yard which is quite large I invested into this little mower and it’s awesome!!! It turns all the way around on a whim . It’s fast easy too operate Instead of taking me 3 hours to push mow Tends to take me less than hour to get my front and back yard done with minimal effort.

Undeniable advantage from a self propelled push mower! Nice ride and sleek enough (30” deck) for a smaller yard. Also a benefit to pulling cargo or mulch around yard with attachment. Didn’t hook up the mulching bag/kit yet. The engine works but is not very powerful, so hilly yards will be tough. “K” turns can be a challenge. overall so far so good, let’s see how this machine stands the test of time (as of my 4th go around very happy). -Phil

I’ve always used a push mower through out my life but wanted to try something different. Instead of it taking me two hours to mow my front and backyard it takes me less than 40 mins! Plus it turns on a dime no problem. Also it’s very comfortable!
