Is this set DISHWASHER safe?

AnswersIt says it is, and we put ours in the diswasher, but we also notice it very slowly attacks the very edge of the pan where the 3-ply sandwich is exposed. The middle layer seems to rbe aluminum and react a little bit with the dishwasher soap. It is small and not very noticeable, but it also leaves a bit of a sharp edge where the stainless steel is.

AnswerThanks for your inquiry. Overall the Chef's Classic Stainless Steel cookware would be heavier because it does have the encapsulated aluminum disc in the base of the cookware for even heat distribution.

We liked these pots while they lasted, but the handle rivets and middle layer of the tri-ply sandwich slowly dissolves in the dishwasher. We got about two years out of them before a handle broke off. Before that, my daughter and a family friend both cut themselves on the sharp edges that form when the middle layer of the tri-ply goes away

CUISINART MULTICLAD TRIPLY 10 PIECE STAINLESS STEEL COOKWARE Makes the old stuff look BAD. Not only look bad, but the new Cuisinart Stainless Steel cooks so much better. I was always hesitate about using Stainleess Steel pots and pans because of the fear of burning and having to extra scrub the pans clean. That was not true, the pans clean easily and look fantastic. The trick with Stainless Steel is to use lower heat.

Excellent cookware set with superior interior finish, easy cooking and cleanup, a better product for less money. We use only stainless steel cookware, and we never use cookware with a nonstick coating. But we still want our cooking process and cleanup to be as easy as possible. Cuisinart got it right with the interior finish on these pans. Directly comparing this Cuisinart tri-ply cookware to similar tri-ply cookware from Calphalon, the smooth interior finish of the Cuisinart is definitely better than the satin interior finish of the Calphalon. See photos for comparison of the finish on skillets from both companies. Fried eggs cooked perfectly in the 10 inch Cuisinart skillet, and nothing stuck to the pan. There are no hot spots in the pans, as the Cuisinart tri-ply distributes heat evenly (all of the fried eggs were equally cooked). The pans that have glass lids make it easy to monitor the cooking process. This is a great set of cookware, and an excellent value.

I uploaded some photos as I think they speak louder than anything I could say here. These points appear extremely well made, with a good heft without being as heavy as cast-iron... The "triply" stainless steel gives you the advantage of good heat spreading, while also having the traditional stainless steel inside and outside that can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Perhaps we are just infidels, but with 3 kids, we aren't buying kitchenware that can't go in the dishwasher. No time for hand washing hoity-toity pots!
Everyone liked the glass lids as you can see what is happening to your food as it cooks. These lids are a little different, in that they don't have a vent hole like some glass lids. So, if you let your food cool with the lid on, it can create a vacuum in the pot and "stick" the lid on. The manual suggests reheating your food a little bit to release the vacuum and free the lid.
The taller pots (not the frying pan) have markings etched on the inside to show you volume - very convenient.
The one thing that surprised me about these pots is that I could find no place on the box or the pots that says where they are made.

Wonderful cooking set! Same as the multiclad cuisinart set but with a different name. Heats quickly and cleans up easily. Have always used nonstick for 30 years and made the switch to SS and love them. Just need to keep the heat lower and it’s perfect!
