              Good concept but not effective!
Fogging is good but if there's a slight wind everything goes to the neighbors. Plus, at the beginning lightning up wasn't a problem now a have hard time igniting the fogger. Spraying is your better option since the chemicals stay for longer time on grass, trees and shrubs. I'll probably return the item back to the store.

              Works when nothing else would
Pretty easy and kind of fun to use. Just fire it up, give it time for the coils to warm, then pull the trigger to get some juice in the chamber and the thing emits billowing clouds. My wife gets eaten alive by bugs but wasn't bothered at all after I treated. Later that night we even noticed the bug zapper wasn't working nearly as hard, where before it would sound like a popcorn machine.

I live in a sparsly wooden area of pine maple ash and lots of leftover leafs from winter. I purchased this little bad boy and smoked out the piles of leafs and dang did it kill the Mosquitoes on contact but also the May fly are gone haven't noticed any Flys but the spring has just begun. I first inspection the outside construction of the unit poured the fluid in gave it a few priming pumps of the trigger and cranked up the fuel to a nice slow hiss and clicked the button three times and wallah heat. Waited for it to heat up before use and was getting bit while I was raking as I waited for the smoke to start to burn from the primer fluid I places into the burn chamber before ignition of the tool. As the smoke was coming out of the unit I noticed that the bugs were getting out of Dodge. I sprayed all the piles of leaf and under all the overhanging branches of new growth and after all that had a cookout with out any bug for the 5 or so hours we were outdoors.

                  The Worst
I've been using this exactly as the instructions say & it doesn't work. I've used the 32fl oz Cutter Backyard Bug Control fogging insecticide with it & I have a small yard the mosquitoes are the worst & hours after using this their swarming again so as much as I've had to use it I wouldn't recommend it 2 anyone, The fogger its self, yeah maybe with a different fogging formula 4 sure.

                    Not worth the price
Im not one to write reviews but this information needs to be shared. I live in Washington, DC where mosquitos pretty much become dependents throughout the spring, summer and into early fall. I’ve purchased many different types of insect and mosquito treatments (torches, aerosol, professional services, spirals, dunks). When I purchased this item, the initial results were great. The system worked just fine and it kept the mosquitos away for about 4-5 hours (long enough to enjoy a summertime gathering in the backyard). The issue began when it was time to replace the canister. As many others have encountered, I was unable to continue using the system because of design issues associated with the threads on the canister and fogger. This is definitely not user error and I’m sure the company is aware of this issue (If not, they’ll definitely hear from me) With a base price of $70 for the system, $10 for replacement canisters and $20 for replacement solution; you’d be better off using any other treatment option. I’ve opted for professional servicing and tiki torches for added assurance.

I live in a heavily mosquito infested area and a block away from a wildlife sanctuary. I have tried pretty much everything out there, from traps to sprays and everything in between. I saw this mosquito fogger in my local HD a few days back. I picked it up, read the box, then put it back thinking it was a waste of money, time and just another gimmick. I started using a hand-held zapper while in the yard but that worked well, but was very limited. I decided to head back to HD and give this machine a try. I was there bright and early, got one of the two remaining machines and 2 bottles of fog juice. I already had cans of propane, so no need to purchase that. Saturday morning after walking the dogs and with swarms of mosquitoes in the yard, I decided to try the machine. I read the manual and followed the instructions. I filled the reservoir, attached the propane cylinder, turned it on and pressed the ignitor button. The machine heated up without a hitch. After following the recommended heating time, I ventured out in the yard with respirator on. I did a very hurried fogging as the mosquitoes descended on me. I felt disappointed as there were still mosquitoes all around me. I retreated back into the house. About 30 minutes later I decided to go into the backyard and discovered the mosquito population had drastically diminished. There were still some swarms in the area where I did a poor job fogging. So, I gave the machine another go and fogged the entire yard again; this time paying more attention to the backyard and fence area. I fogged low and between the pots and leaves of the shrubs and plants. After doing so, I waited a few minutes and voila, no mosquitoes at all! I was able to do yard work. I pruned a few plants and trees and did so without the frustration of swatting mosquitoes. I stayed in the yard for over 4 hours and no mosquitoes bites. I was ecstatic. I have not spent so many bite-free hours in my yard for months now. I was blown away by how well the machine worked and the effects of the fog. I have now found a way to do real battle with the mosquitoes and no longer have to rely on the City to spray once a year (which is an absolute joke since they spray more towards the end of summer). I will now fog every morning to help reduce the overall number of mosquitoes in the yard and hope that by doing so, it will also kill any mosquitoes in the surrounding yards. Things to remember or know: - Wear a respirator as shifting winds can cause you to be engulfed in the fog and honestly, why wouldn’t you want to? - Do not ignite the machine indoors. If you store it inside your home, take it out and ignite outside. Once the machine heats up after the initial use, fog juice left in the tubing will vaporize and come out the nozzle on its own. If done indoors, you will have fog in your home. - Follow the heating times and be patient. - Depress the trigger for approximately one to two seconds and release. You will get better dispersion this way. - If your machine is not heated, you will be spraying liquid and not vapor. - Wear long sleeve shirts and pants to minimize contact on your skin. - You will need to buy fog juice and propane cylinders. - Do not touch the wire mesh once the machine is in use. Hot, hot, hot! - I find fogging in low works best for me as I’ve noticed the fog rises upwards with the wind. - Try your best to keep the wind at your back. This will keep the fog in front of you. - There is no lingering odor. No one would know you sprayed. - If having an outdoor event, be sure to wipe down table and seating surfaces after using the fogger. - The fogging lasted about 4 hours without any mosquitoes, but may last even longer! I hope this machine works as well for you as it did for me. I am now able to reclaim my yard, and with a little planning, I can comfortably use it anytime.
