This worklight is really nice. The picture shown on the Home Depot advertisement is the older model, the newer model has a solid rod that extends about 10 inches making it more rigid (see my picture). To clarify, you are buying the NEWER model, not the one HD shows but the one in installed in my picture. This keeps it from sagging or moving when working, an improvement over the older model that used to drupe down from the vibration of the scroll saw. Also immediately replace the incandescent bulb that is included with it with an LED E17 reflector bulb. I chose a 5 Watt (50W Incendescent Equivalent),Cool White 6500K that works well for me. It's much brighter and runs cool and is about $8 online. (the 25 watt that come with the light is a filler bulb, it's very dim and get really hot and it's right next to your face).

The light you get is different than the picture. DeWalt seems to have solved the "drooping" problem with the flexible gooseneck by adding a 10 inch non-flexible section from the base up to about half of the length of the "neck". The mounting bracket is also shaped differently so it mounts to the saw a lot easier than the old light. The shade is also fluted part way for heat dispersal. So, the only issue for some people is the small 25 watt bulb may be too dim. It is a "flood" type bulb with a small base that you can get a replacement LED bulb, but I don't have a problem with it as it seems bright enough even for my 63 year old eyes. I like the fact that this is made specifically for the DeWalt scroll saw, and it does come with DeWalts 3 year warranty, for a small work light, that's pretty good. I realize some reviewers didn't give this very high reviews, but I think that was with the older version of the light. They give a a special tool to remove two screws on the saw for mounting the light. Those screws are TIGHT, be careful. I added a picture so people can see the difference in the light you get vs the advertisement. Seriously, the light is well worth the money. Sorry for the messy bench.

Fixture gets very hot if touched can be burnt. I was under the impression that it was an LED bulb. Bulb is an incandescent bulb that does not give much light.
