A:  It does rout a 1/2" DAIMETER rounded groove. So the tool is a 1/4" RADIUS. The picture description is incorrect.

            Answer This Question

A:  This is a 1/2" diameter bit, I'm not sure why it says 1/2" radius on the picture

            by|May 5, 2023

A:  Looks like the person writing the info on the website has "radius" and "diameter" mixed up. I see this on several router bits.

            by|Dec 25, 2020

A:  Hi Chris, Thank you for your question. There may be an error on the website. For clarification, the radius is 1/4" and the overall diameter is 1/2". Hope this helps.

The 1/4" Diablo Round Nose bit is a really nice little bit. It's very sharp and is still sharp after cutting flutes into soft maple. It cuts and spins without chatter or vibration, doesn't leave burn marks, and is high quality like the other Diablo bits I use. My corded Ridgid palm router had plenty of power to run the bit.
