Yes, you will need an extension cord if it's too far away from the outlet
Yes the camera has to be plugged in but worth every penny. We love it!!
My lowest camera is 56" off of the ground. The only animal that has triggered my recorder was a large deer. Be prepared, my neighbor had a fit because I put a camera on my rain gutter. He thought I could record what he did inside of his privacy fence. Not true.
Monitor needs to be plugged at all times
Yes. You have to have an electrical outlet for the camera, and another for the monitor. There are antennas on both that gives you the wireless connection between the two. Very low tech, easy to use.
You have to run electricity to the position where you wish to mount the camera. We have extension cords in the attic running to it and it works perfectly. Of course, depending upon you r house and attic situation, you might need to install an outlet in your attic first in order to do this. In our house, I installed an outlet in the middle of the attic which I use with the extension cord to power this camera.
Push the toggle switch in the middle, and it will take you to all your recorded videos. Then, you can highlight and watch them.
Yes it can be as long as you u use the included adapter it doesn't matter where you put it as long as it's no more than 12 feet from the power source.
