I use the Defiant 86125 Timer at Christmas. When unplugged, how do you turn the device totally off so the battery is not in use storing the information?
Rick, it should only hold the programing for 7 days, then it will go completely dead until you charge it again.
How do I turn off the display to save battery
I dont think there is a way to turn it off. They're on when they leave the factory-hence the charge before using instruction. I also dont think there's a way to change the battery. I've been running my 1st one for over 3 yrs now
i have several of these and really like them EXCEPT I cant find out how to turn them completely off either. I just generally let them run down, which seems ridiculous.
I just discovered this. CharGPT says the battery won't last a year with the display constantly on, even under low current conditions. And it is not designed to be removable. Makes this a single season disposable product, I'm returning them for a refund.
