is this model egress friendly, where the handle automatically unlocks if closed and someone can't lock themselves out by closing the door to lock position?
Hi Propact, No. All models under the Defiant brand are not Auto-Egress enabled. This is a feature you would usually find in an ANSI Grade 1 or 2 (Heavy Duty and Light Duty Commercial) lock. Defiant is rated for ANSI Grade 3 (Standard Residential). If you are looking for a model that has the Auto-Egress feature, we would suggest the Home Decorators Collection models. Some models include the Wilshire (330250536), the Woodcliff (330250531), or the Primrose (330250650). Thank you for your question.

Will the lockset fit a 1.75 inch door
