The answer is it depends. The dirtier the glass the less clean the result. A cup of water or juice is fine for exclusive use but if a cup has sat for awhile or was used to stir powered drinks then rely on the on fashion way

Asked by kriegs December 27, 2020

Dear kriegs, Thank you for your question! I will be more than happy to help you! Certain tub spouts do not have a removable aerator, however, most will have a stream straightener that also is not removable. If there is an issue with the tub spout whether it be broken it will need replaced or if it just needs a cleaning 50/50 white vinegar and water will remove any excess calcium or mineral buildup. Feel free to contact us directly, if you need further assistance. Best regards, Kyra

Asked by TheDogsCar December 13, 2019

I assume you have a self rimming sink? If so, they include a 1/4" riser with gasket to lift the tray drain over a surface-mount sink rim. It won't work for a traditional cast iron sink (with a high lip), but it's perfect for stainless self rimming models.

Great concept some design flaws
I was so excited for this item! We often have residue in the bottom of glasses (leave wine in bottom of glass and it dries, smoothie making, etc). This thing does exactly as it promises-it rinses all the gunk out that a dishwasher really can’t. It gets all our water bottles the cleanest they’ve ever been. In a pinch for time, I’ll add a squirt of soap to a cup then place it on this and they’re clean as new! My biggest disappointment in this is the size. It needs to be about 1/4 inch wider in diameter. I mainly bought this to rinse my smoothie cups and they don’t fit in the base. Our coffee cups are also just a tiny bit too wide to fit. I’m mad at myself for not measuring these items before purchasing as coffee mug residue and smoothie cups were my main motivation for purchasing this. I think those with bottle fed babies would find this invaluable! I recommend, just make sure it’s work with your cups! It also really pours neatly into the sink, no splashes at all! We installed it easy and without issue.

When I first got the Delta 4 in. Glass Rinser, I thought it was just one of those things they use at bars and it would not be useful in the house. The wife wanted it because a friend has it in there wet bar … we don’t have a wet bar … just a kitchen. However, you know what they say, happy wife happy life. Installation would normally be rather straight forward if you had a single sink, but I have a double with two different depth and a garbage disposal. It was like the plumbers version of gastric bypass. So I pulled out the old soap pump, never even used it. Dropped the parts down the existing hole. I was starting to think to myself that this is going to be a cakewalk … jinks! Had to pull the garbage disposal because the cold water line was dead behind there. Then I had to stack that over the dishwasher outlet. I will tell you now … I am the fat kid that loves cake … getting behind all those mechanicals was tough, but it was completed. Until I found a leak, so I had to take everything apart. The worst part the rinser was energized at that point and when I disconnected it the two part regulator came out. It took me 15 mins to figure out which way those things needed to go back in. Hint, think trumpets. I was able to get everything back together and no leaks. I have been using it for about 5 months now. I am shocked how often I actually use it. I will rinse out pint glasses after sodas or beers. I have a highball glass I like use for my beet juice powder. They now get rinsed and put on the drying rack instead of going into the dishwasher. I can definitely recommend this product. I thought it was just a one off product a gimmick for wet bars, but it turned out to be useful in everyday life.

Why didn't I...
...order one of these sooner! Ok, technically I bought at a store, but I'm reviewing it here as well. The good: This thing is awesome! Great coverage on most of my glassware. I have some wide cups that don't fit, but most do. If you have adequate water pressure, it's great. 4 stars because of the not-so-good: It's plastic and it doesn't drain well. I bought the stainless finish that looks good, but it does not have the "brushed" look as pictured. The only metal piece is the water line/center shaft. The "cup" of it is slightly angled toward the front but was not allowing adequate drainage when I installed it flat as directed. It includes a spacer if you have a raise back so I used a sander on that to grind it down to a steep angle to get proper drainage.

The Delta 4 inch glass rinser in chrome, is the perfect addition to any "Man Cave", home bar, or just for the kitchen. It is very easy to install if you have a soap dispenser on your sink this will fit in that hole if you remove it. If you do not feel comfortable with doing that or drilling an extra hole in your sink you can call a plumber to do the work.

So Glad Delta Has Made This Item Available!
My husband insisted I find a way to install a Glass Rinser in a home we purchased that I planned to remodel (I'm a Design/Build contractor). I searched everywhere--starting with Delta, visited several Starbucks to see if they'd let me see the underside of their Glass/Jug rinsers (they wouldn't). Online I found one Schematic. Finally placed an order for one and it didn't work for my application, so I contacted the manufacturer and they were able to juryrig something that almost worked, but my plumber had to modify it slightly, as part of the install. Now that Delta has a logical set up, I will use theirs in the future!

Easy to use and not to hard to install. After replacing faucet I had an open hole where sprayer used to be, new faucet was a pull out. I wanted something to fill hole and not just a cap, problem solved. The hardest part tapping into water line, the rest was a piece of cake. Works great for blasting left over hot chocolate out of mugs or any thick beverage residue not to mention any quick rinse of cups.

Love our glass rinser
Great idea for the kitchen, my husband installed it on his own without any special tools in less than 20 minutes. If you know anything at all about plumbing, installation is a breeze. Helpful hint: someone has to keep the top rinser part straight while the other person is under the sink. Great for wine glasses, water bottles, cleaning out cans and jars before recycling. We love it and our daughter does, too!

Our only complaint is that it is plastic and feels like it could be a better quality. Most of our glasses and cups just go into the dishwasher so we really don't use it much for them. What we really use it for is to rinse narrow mouthed bottles. They are such a pain to rinse out and instead of filling them with water and shaking them to try and rinse them you just push them down on the Glass Rinser and the high pressure spray does a great job getting the inside cleaned out ready for soap and water. It's also great for plastic bottles going into the recycle.

The Delta 4 in. Glass Rinser in Chrome, Grey was something that I didn't realize how much I would use it until I had it. Getting the suds and residue out of a glass can be a hassle if you over do it with the detergent. I never took notice of how much water is wasted holding a glass upright to rinse. The Delta glass rinser allows me to do the same job much quicker and with probably a quarter of the water. The glass rinser is also a useful tool for all of the knowledgeable beer drinkers out there are aware of the virtues of rinsing a glass before pouring a beer. This gadget make it convenient and simple. Speaking of simple, so was installation. Everything required is included and I had the Delta Rinser ready to go in under 20 minutes. The biggest obstacle will be not having a spare hole in your sink for mounting. Highly recommended.

As a homebrewer that can't stop building things I decided my portable bar needed a glass washer so people could rinse between trying different styles. I looked at a few options and this one met my needs. It was fairly simple to install and with a couple of adapters I was able to convert the standard water line inlet to accept a post for one of my kegs. Now I can just plug a double ended line from a keg of water to the rinser and push it with the CO2 tank.
