I want to convert to without spray so I ordered this cap, but how do I put it on?

Asked by MsFixIt March 18, 2018

I don't see where to respond to the 'answer' provided, so I'll put it here. If you can see the image attached, there is a white plastic "U" shaped piece that connects two pipes coming out of my sink to the kitchen sprayer hose. The "cap" fits loosely on the kitchen sprayer hose end and doesn't fit into the plastic piece at all. So am I doing this wrong or should I be using a different size? The white plastic piece (where it connects to the pipes or the sprayer hose) has a grey 'tab' thingy where you can squeeze to disconnect the sprayer, however I can't get the white plastic U shaped piece to disconnect from the two pipes coming out of my sink.

Should I change the diverter also?

Asked by Juan September 26, 2017

Thank you for your question, Juan. This cap will eliminate the need for a diverter. You may remove the diverter from the faucet or leave it in place when the sprayer is capped off. Best regards, Jon

I don't want a spray hose anymore. Will this cap or block the nipple or outlet?

Asked by CHRISTOPHER April 22, 2017

it really is a cap! Picture looks like a connector. I wasn't sure the picture was correct. But I ordered it anyway. And it really is a cap. And it really has capped the nipple. And literally only by clamping on. And it's not leaking! Smack me upside the head and call me a bell, that was the best $7 I've spent at home Depot.

I currently have this connector on my faucet. How do I remove the connection so can replace the ...

Asked by Eddie January 25, 2017

Squeeze together the bottom of the connector. That opens the top allowing you to pull the hose out.

It's ridiculous that you have to pay extra for this disconnect? How about including a plug with the faucet? This is what you get for $350? Home Depot the least you could do is stock a few of these in-store. Just another example on how product support is trash in today's world. Hope you are getting rich off the $8.

Honestly its a great product I just wish it had come with the faucet, the faucet advertises to be used with or without the sprayer but in order to bypass the sprayer you have to have this piece which I then had to order separately and couldn't use my sink for a week, the quick release on it is also not as user friendly as you would think

Exactly what was needed. Easy to install on our Delta single handle kitchen faucet. Our faucet is from 2008 and still works great. First time I ever had to make parts purchase. The only reason why I had to was due to a lost clip misplaced when we did a kitchen update.
