great looking product - we used a starter kit and 2 additional kits to rail approx. 8' and a 2' 90d leg. The connections at the wood handrail to handrail extension are not as rigid as I hoped for - using a continuous wood rail would make it all a bit more rigid but that would have to be an additional expense. All pieces were well finished - the corner connector was slightly miss aligned.

Installation instructions were good except for cable installation. Screws were with star heads and only two tools provided that did not fit all screws. Should use Standard not Metric screws.

Worst kit ever. I’m willing to except that you get what you pay for so if you buy a relatively inexpensive kit it’s not gonna be great quality. But aside from looking incredibly cheap all of the screws in this kit are custom star heads. They supply heads for the screws, but not all of them some of them you have to go to the hardware store and either buy a custom head or buy different screws to use. Since they supply only bits for a screw gun for these screws you need to be able to use a screw gun to screw them in but a lot of them goes so close to that posts that you can’t screw them in using a screw gun because a screw gun is too big and you can’t use a screwdriver because you don’t have the proper size star head screwdriver so the screws just strip. Aside from missing the proper sized tools to screw in the screws which could just be Phillips and it would’ve worked fine there are no words in the directions so unless you actually have an excellent sense of spatial perception you will have to put this together two or three times to figure out all of what direction things need to go in. Lastly there are three different sizes of Allen wrenches that you will need that they will not supply or tell you about. This kit is total junk and it is impossible to put this together so that it looks attractive. Don’t buy it.

Nice Update
We love this new railing. Just to warn you, the directions are not very good. We are lucky to have a very skilled and experienced carpenter, who had to rely on himself for the most part. The written directions are not helpful

The product is good but the description is lousy. A “starter” contains all the hardware to start and stop 5 cables (10 cable ends). Parts are all metric, and you will need a large 8mm drill bit. You will need 2 or 3 Allen wrench sizes and 2 hex heads, although one hex is included.
