No Mess Innovative Whole Home Water Filter System

A:  This is a disappointing product. The workers tried to install it in the kitchen without success, because the water could not be discharged, so this thing has been lying in my utility room. Can I return it?

A:  I had a plumber install this whole home water filter as I believe it needs to be tied into the water line. At my home (I have hard well water), I change the filter every 6 months. I've had my whole house water filter system for several years now and I love it. The replacement filter is super easy to change out (just lift up on the main unit) and it shuts off the water and allows you to change the filter without having to manually shut off water.

A:  This system will filter out sediment in your water and reduce chlorine taste & odor, but does not soften the water. If your water also contains hardness minerals or iron, a water softener can be used along with this filter.

A:  No this is just a charcoal filter

A:  This unit only filters particulates, down to pretty small fines, but will not remove minerals or change the pH of your water. Only a water softener can do that. If you install the EcoPure, it should be installed after the incoming water has passed through the softener but before it goes to the household pipes. We have both since we are on a well.

A:  The pressure relief tubing allows the vented water to be directed to a nearby drain when replacing the filter. If the tubing is not installed and the unit is depressurized, the vented water (approximately 4 oz.) will simply spill onto the floor.

A:  short answer is NO!

A:  Mine hooked right up to my main which was 1” and I didn’t notice any loss of pressure after installing it

A:  I think is says in the specs what pipe size. As for reduced water pressure I personally have noticed maybe a tiny tiny bit less pressure but that may be my imagination. I really like this filter because the tap water tastes perfect now. I don't have a lead problem where I am, so fortunately I don't worry about that.
