Product Overview

  • Installs directly on your water line
  • Can be used on both well and municipal water supplies
  • Removes sediment, dirt, chlorine and other contaminants
The EcoPure no mess whole home water filtration system (EPWHE) installs on your incoming water line to protect your plumbing and water using appliances from sediment, dirt, sand, silt and chlorine taste and odor. The patented Flow and Capture Technology (FACT) delivers cleaner, better tasting water without flow reduction and allows the filter to last up to 6 months - twice as long as most other whole home filters. This system is designed for both well and municipal water supplies and has a micron rating of 5. Five micron filter – the lower the micron rating the more particles or contaminants removed by a whole house filter. There is no need to turn off the water supply for filter changes and its unique pivotal design allows for a tool-free, easy filter change in just minutes. The encapsulated filter captures dirt and contaminants so there is no need to touch the used, dirty filter media. Includes: system, 6 month filter (EPWHEF), mounting bracket, adaptors, clips and vent tube and installation instructions. Questions. Call the EcoPure helpline at (800) 693-1138 or visit ecopure.com.

Questions & Answers

Peep rate this 5star, but replacement filter gets horrible revs AND is 50$. Worth it or get 49$ system w/cheaperfilters?

Asked by: WellUser
I have had this water filtration system for a few years now (when it first was carried at Home Depot). I've been using the filters for as many years and have had no problems. I did switch to the "high sediment" filter because I live on a lake and have well water with occasional sand build up. The filter works GREAT and I replace it every 6 months. I've had no issues since switching to the appropriate filter for my water supply. I feel like $100 per year for great water is well worth the money. By the way, my well water used to leave an orangy color to my toilet water and left rusty rings around my tub drains with high lime build up. No more after installing this system and using their filters. I love it.

How hard is it to replace filters? I have a similar product and I practically break the pipes unscrewing it.

Asked by: Ericc
Changing the filters is easy which is a good thing because I had to change every three weeks until I removed the system and threw it in the garbage

With the built in bypass valve, should I still add a bypass in my pipes to circumvent this if needed?
Asked by: jcas16
My plumber installed a bypass valve even though the EcoPure system has one. In my opinion it's always best to have the extra option to completely bypass the system in case of something going terribly wrong (which has not happened, but I'm super cautious).

No Mess Innovative Whole Home Water Filter System is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great solution for whole house filter This is a well made and compact whole house filter, with a very quick and easy filter change process. The total expense will depend on how simple (or complicated) your installation is. It might cost you a few bucks for some PVC pipe and fittings, or you might be out a couple hundred bucks for a plumber. In my situation the existing pipes were exposed and accessible near the water softener, so it wasn't too hard. I had a little trouble getting a water tight seal on the included threaded inlet / outlet fittings, the solution there was to use a lot more Teflon tape to ensure a good seal. Overall the installation took about 40 minutes and total materials cost was under $15 (for some PVC primer and cement and a few fittings). From now on when my refrigerator tells me to change its expensive water filter cartridge every 30 days, I can ignore it - the whole house has filtered water.

I originally installed this filter system on my house, the very clever pivoting design and combined mounting bracket and the no tools required, or need to shut off the water supply. Is an engineering delight Filter changes take less than five minutes. The drawback is the premium for the non interchangeable filter. I did not notice any change in flow or pressure using this filter. The enclosed ells that are included make the plumbing configuration excessive. I have now replaced this filter with different filters. I installed it horizontally below my toy hauler with a 125 gal water tank using pex tubing. The life span of the filter makes the price of the replacement filter negligible. And the wonderfully engineered bracket and housing make a great compact installation.

One of the best things I could have bought for my house and that makes everyone happy especially the Wife, now she does not have to worry about getting water from the refrigerator because that is the only place she can get filtered water from. Now she can drink or cook with the water from any faucet in the house. I did have to hire someone to come in and install this as I could not find the main water pipe that comes into my house but it only took the guy about an hour and it was all done and even he said that this was one of the best whole house water filter systems out there so that makes me happy as well. Great Product

I love that all of our water is filtered to every faucet in our house. This also helps keep our pipes clear of sediment. In the past I have had to fill up our Kreuig and other household appliances needing water using the water from our filtered refrigerator to prevent build up in the machines. Now they can be filled up from any faucet in the house! The filter is easy to change as well.

The install was straightforward and I was pleased with the performance of the filter. Our water (well) wasn't that bad, for years we didn't even use a filter but decided to install one because we noticed a little sediment in the toilets. The filter worked great but I only get 4-5 weeks before the filter element starts to breakdown as evidenced by a black sediment appearing the toilet bowl. The filter element is a snap to change, my only gripe is the cost; 38 dollars a month seems a little pricey. With this design you are locked in to this particular element.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable quality water filter system! I've been looking for an affordable whole house water filtration system for my well-water supplied cottage. This unit fit the bill and has very welcomed features! See pictures for details. 1) The unit is easy to mount 2) The filter can be replaced (every 6 months) without having to shut off your water supply(by-pass feature) 3) Can be used for municipal or well water. Filters sediment, dirt, rust and sand which is common to wells. 4) Has a carbon filtration for better tasting water- filters chlorine taste & odor common to city water. 5) Filter life is up to 6 months which is a lot longer than most other filters and has a micron rating of 5. We used "lag" style stainless anchors which keeps the bracket and unit off the cinderblock which tends to get damp at my cottage. The vent tubing provided is only about 6 ft long so plan accordingly when you mount the unit because you need to direct the tubing downward into a floor drain, laundry tub, or some other sort of drain point. When replacing the filter, water pressure inside the unit is relieved and about 4 ounces of water will be expelled through the vent port into your drain. I tested all of my faucets and toilets and it has not decreased the water pressure at all. The replacement filters can be purchased at Home Depot (part #EPWHEF) and are $49.99 each. That price is a little high but since you shouldn't have to replace the filter as often as other systems, this price seems acceptable. Keep your installation manual since it contains troubleshooting information and manufacturers toll-free number to order replacement parts or to ask questions. (1-800-693-1138).

I just finished installing the EcoPure whole home water filtration system. It was easy to hook up to the piping after we rerouted the water line into the garage to accommodate the installation. The unit bolts to the wall and comes with all the attachments necessary for the install. The unit is about 17 1/2" tall and weighs in at almost 11 pounds. The mounting bracket is separate from the unit and once that is fastened to a surface the unit just fits right to it. The automatic by pass should make easy filter changing without having to turn off the water to the house. Just make sure you have room to work and access the unit for changing filters. We tested chlorine content after the install from water before the install and it does show a significant reduction in chlorine and does have improved taste. It is well worth the investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get clean water throughout your whole house The EcoPure Whole Home Water Filter System installs inline with the existing plumbing with minor changes. I was able to install mine by adding some PVC to the piping in order to fit the filter in. It took about an hour but there are no leaks. It makes more sense to use a whole home system instead of installing multiple under the sink units. The filter lasts 6 months which is good. The filtering system works well and the water tastes better and has no odor. Since my water supply comes from the city, I've noticed a big improvement in the water quality in the house.
