Great 8 Foot Reference Surface and Level
You don't often need an eight foot level, but when you do this one will fit the bill nicely. It's light but well built, accurate, and easy to read. All of that for a very reasonable price (less than half the top of the line models!) Honestly I reach for this level most frequently when I need a long flat reference surface. It makes quick work of checking for bowed studs, low spots on floors that need to be leveled, or any sagging spans. This is where the light weight really pays off since an eight foot level can be quite awkward to use. I checked the vials for accuracy and they were spot on. In the attached pictures you can see results of my comparing the vial readings after flipping it to be sure everything is parallel and accurate. There's nothing I'd add to this particular level at this price point. You can get a much heavier duty level if you expect to be hard on them (something like the Stabila R-beam) but it would come at triple the cost and more than double the weight. For most uses this is a great option.

great box level
The EMPIRE 96 in. box level is awesome.. Empire levels are some of the best levels out there. Great quality at a great price. I have six or seven levels at different lengths for various jobs. This is my first eight foot level. I will use it to level cement forms and as a straight edge.I like the end caps that are easy to remove and install. The vials are easy to see and read. The.0005 in.accuracy is great.

High quality level, great True Blue vials
I'm a big fan of Empire products and really like the Empire levels. This E75 model is apparently a newer model that replaces the older e2G line, which I also own. The E75 design is simpler, with fewer visual frills--pretty much a basic square box level. The vials are the the same precise True Blue vials, and the two vials in each end of the level now have a simple white plastic around them. There's no consumer-oriented markings or clutter, so I like that--it's a functional get-the-job-done level. There are two minor things I don't like as much with this E75 model compared to the e2G models. First, the hole to hang the level is about 6" from the end of the level, and the hole is only 1/2" in diameter. Trying to hang this level on the long screws where I hang my other levels is much trickier than with the e2G models, which have a larger hole built into the rubber end caps. The other minor item is that I don't like the new end caps on the E75. They look and feel like a cheap afterthought and are only held in place by a plastic sliding clip. I personally have never had the need to remove the end caps of my levels, so the new easier removal design isn't valuable to me, but if you do regularly remove the end caps on your level, then you will probably like this new design. Other than those two very minor items, this is a great level that works well and I really like Empire levels and measuring tools.

Does exactly what it should do.
There isn’t a whole lot to say about a good level. When the level works correctly, the bubbles sit on center and the edges are flat and smooth. Out of the box, this level was exactly that. The vials are very readable, what with their blue lines and being embedded in white circles: easy to spot, easy to read. There are two handles that make holding the level vertically or horizontally very simple and less strenuous than gripping the level’s body. Weight isn’t too much of a factor either. An aluminum body is fairly lightweight, combined with the acrylic vials and rubber end caps there isn’t much to hold up. The removable endcaps are an interesting touch. I only noticed they were removable when I saw the small arrow on them. Pull on the arrow (which is the clip that holds the endcap on) and the end piece pops out. I’m not sure what you’d need that for, but I suppose if you damaged the rubber it could be easily replaced. I used this to help install a door frame and it worked well, certainly easier and more accurate than using a 4’ or even a 2’ level to install a door frame, which I have done in the past. I appreciated the rubber ends, too, so I wouldn't have to worry about it sliding around or scratching the hardwood floor over which the door frame was installed. The primary blue color of the level is actually a good choice. Among all the wood and the red and black tools of my garage, it stands out and makes it easy to spot when I’ve misplaced it! No complaints on this level, it works great!

Six Foot Long Level with Plenty of Features
This long level is made from aluminum and appears to be strong and sturdy. It claims an accuracy of .0005”/inch or half a millimeter over the length of one meter. There are a number of practical benefits with this level; there is a hole to hang the level when not in use, the vials are solid blocks of acrylic, the two outer vials are surrounded by rubber grips, handy for when the level is used on its side, there are two large grip holes and the edges are milled to provide grip. The high contrast e-band vials are generally easy to read but some backgrounds can make it a bit more difficult. The shock absorbing end caps work well and soak up a lot of the residual bounce – see video.
