Spring Clamps Are NOT Big Enough!
When pinched to their max size they become oblong instead of circular and at the narrowest width it is not wide enough (certainly not 4") to go over the duct spings once attached. And once attached the clamp has virtually no overlap to be able to pinch it further to go over each spring in the duct at their widest points to slide onto the vent tube in the wall which I confirmed is 4". Obviously to go over something that is over something else that is 4" wide (on the innermost layer) it needs to be able to go slightly more than 4" when pinched to be able to go over both duct and ventilation tube. And with no overlap, there's room for air to get through into the house instead of being ventilated. This explains why different types of clamps are frequently purchased with this exact duct. Take the hint, Everbilt. Different clamps or wider/longer coil clamps are necessary for safety and ease of use. Lastly, the instructions on the box don't say anything about how to install it. It only says where you should and should not use it, and to follow local building codes like the average person is going to know what those are! It also says to follow manufacturers installation recommendations but you are the manufacturer and provided no other info! It should have at least said to put the clamp on the duct and then place duct over the tube in the wall and then sliding the clamp up instead of some other way, or mention that it's possible to cut the duct to the desired length, or anything along those lines or show a diagram or steps, which are the only things that need to be said/shown for the average Joe to be able to use it correctly.

Perfect solution for venting a bathroom exhaust fan. Hard to believe that this would stretch out 25 feet, but it does. Easy to cut, bend around corners and secure with duct tape and clamps. Used this for a new exhaust fan in my guest bathroom. Not much room in the attic above this restroom so this easy to bend and cut and attach to the fan worked great. There is an error in the description as the package states not for dryer vents..

Easy to manipulate and stays put, does not flop about, firm.
I am giving it a 4 star as I have only used dryer vent ducts twice in 50 years so I haven't anything to compare with. So this product may very well deserve 5 stars. No doubt in my limited experience this product will get the job done and well.

This is a very well made dryer vent duct, being 4" in diameter and 8' long. This length is enough for most home applications. Check your dryer vent diameter to verify that you need this size duct. I have found over the years that a dryer vent duct should be replaced at least every 5 years, especially if you're not able to clean it out (just my opinion). I just like to be safe. This duct is made of fire resistant aluminum foil. It is a heavy duty laminate verified safe for gas for electric dryers. The installation can be a bit tricky because of small spaces, but if you take your time it can be easy. Of course you can find accessories that could make installation easier, just check with Home Depot they can help with suggestions.

Easy to install, requires a pair of 4 - 3 1/2 adjustable clamp. The aluminum skin is very thin like an aluminum foil wrap and may tear when handled roughly. I gave it a 4 star due to durability issue but this will suffice apartment dwellers or renters for one time usage. It's probably best for homeowners to replace it at least after several years of use instead of cleaning when its clogged.

The Everbilt Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil Duct Dryer Vent Hose is of very good quality and durability. This product is thicker and better quality than my existing vent hose. I prefer the "flex" feature versus the ridged type of duct. It allows for ease of pulling the dryer out for maintenance or spring cleaning. It "accordions" in place very easily. Very easy to install as well. I purchased the wormgear type clamps for my installation at my local Home Depot store. I prefer these type of clamps versus the "old style" squeeze type ones. I highly recommend all Everbilt products for your home improvement needs. I have other Everbilt products installed in our home and am highly satisfied with them as well.
