Questions & Answers

Has anyone used these hooks for bath towels?

Asked by: rbeths
You may use them for that if you live in a dry climate. For humid areas the towels will not dry very well.

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for installing these into a wall with a pocket doo...

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for installing these into a wall with a pocket door behind it. There are no studs in the wall and I can't go real deep with an anchor because of the pocket door. I could just drill this into the drywall, but then my weight capacity would be very limited I assume. Any suggestions? Thanks

Take a tape measure/ruler (what ever you have on hand) With the door open (recessed into the wall) measure your drywall/lath plaster thickness excluding the molding/trim. If it is and older house, condo, apt. you should have a thinner type door that is set with lath/batting in the wall. you can use "short" plastic molly's and screws. If it is a new style style pocket door. you will have an issue with scratching the door and disrupting the functionality of the door. If you are still unsure, play it safe and get command adhesive hooks. they come in different colors and style's. hope this helps.
