Have the lightning rod. Do you have to have copper tubing to connect a generator to the lightning rod
No. I would use heavy copper or aluminum wire (#8 or #10). Look at what telco and electric co do for their entry box. Often as above. I would try to place ground as close as possible to your box, say 10 feet. I have replied assuming that you bought a ground rod. Lighting rod is different and beyond my skill. You should know local code and follow. If you don’t, there are risks that an electrician could help with.
