What do I do if I have no keys? (Moved into a new condo and prior owner didn't leave me any keys.)
We would recommend replacing the entire unit. Unfortunately, these items are keyed separately, so we cannot be sure which key was sent with the originally installed hardware.

Hello, the chain allows for the door to open to a slightly cracked position, which allows you to be able to unlock the door from the outside with the provided key. Likewise, you can open the lock from the inside with the same key, or by sliding off the chain.
can i buy 2 chain locks for 2 different doors that have the same key
Hello Steve, Unfortunately we do not make this item in a keyed alike version. However, you would be able to have copies made for model 1800 by using an Axxess key blank number 78, Briggs and Stratton key blank number B1, or a Yale Lock company key blank number Y13.
It says this can be unlocked from outside as well as inside how is it possible to unlock from the outside?
This item is able to be unlocked from the outside because it will open far enough until the chain stops it, allowing it to be reached to be unlocked from the outside once installed.
Can I get additional keys cut for this lock? Its an odd shape key so was wondering if Home Depot carries these blanks?
We do not have extra keys for any of the First Watch items (security reasons,) but a copies can be made on keys for model 1800 by using an Axxess key blank number 78, Briggs and Stratton key blank number B1, or a Yale Lock company key blank number Y13.
How does this work? Even if its locked all someone has to do is slide the chain off like normal. I don't understand? Please explain.
This lock is for the interior. Yes, it is a slide lock.
The chain is short and does not allow the door to open far enough for someone to reach in and slide the chain off.
