The counter cut out should be 16-1/8" x 11 5/16". There is a casing that houses the pipes and burners. It is kind of a drip pan but you would have to remove the 2 screws on top of the stove to get inside and clean it.

The stove only has high and low settings and the low is too high for any real cooking. It does say this in sales ad but somehow I took it that it was adjustable between high and low.

Very disappointed so far. First it wouldn’t light. Then it just blows gas like crazy. Put a 1# regulator on it, still blows by. Have ordered a 1/2# regulator. Way to much effort for a drop in unit.
