Update your home's switches to today's style with a Designer Switch from GE. Perfect for new or replacement installations, these GE Designer switches feature fast, easy Pressure-Lock wiring and are for use in one-switch circuits only. The Pressure-Lock terminals are for use on 15 Amp branch circuits with No. 14 AWG solid copper conductors only. Screw terminals are for use with No. 12 or 14 AWG copper wire. The switches are easy to install using the complete installation instructions included in the packaging. NOTE: Shut off power at fuse box or circuit breaker before installation. This product is UL listed and is backed by a 90-day limited warranty.

AnswerHi Douglas, thank you for your question. The switch accept 14 and 12 AWG, but the pressure-lock wiring will only work with 14 Gauge wire. There are 2 poles and a lock for each pole. Both my kids wanted it installed in their room because they loved the feel and ease of turning it on and off. It was easy to install and we love this over the standard switch. This light switch has "switched" us. We now want one for every room in the house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am replacing a old paddle switch(push)that would not stay down it would pop on in the middle of the night which was annoying to say the least.The GE Rocker Switch was just what I needed. It honestly was a fast easy clean installation I think even if you don’t normally do any small Electrical jobs around the house you could even do this ( please shut off the power first lol) there was step-by-step instructions inside as well.It’s a solid inexpensive rocker switch and with a trusted name like GE I suspect that this will last a long time.
