Rocker switch on small shop vacuum went bad. I bought a replacement switch shown in photo. It has three poles. My vacuum only has two wires. Can this be used in this situation?
Yes. Your vacuum is more than likely double insulated, hence it has a two prong plug. Just use 2 of the tabs on the switch. Power lead to "+", and neutral/ground lead to "-". The 3rd tab is for if you have a neutral AND a dedicated ground.
