1. Should a module be installed to manage the load produced by an electric range while on the power produced by a 22 KWH whole house back up generator during an outage? 2. Under everyday use of range , could this module disconnect the appliance while on normal (utility) power
Asked by: alberto
As with any electronic component that you add to a circuit, if it fails the circuit would drop out. So yes, under abnormal circumstances this could cause loss of power to a range. As for should you install one on a range, we dont on our installs because most of the time once the power fails, the stove will be interrupted long enough for the customer to know that they are on backup power and turn it off. If the customer is concerned about it, then yes, install one.
