Not a Perfect Stop especially for Trucks
Does not work with my 2021 Chevrolet Silverado LT Trail Boss 4x4.
The laws of physics prevent the Perfect Stop from working with a long-wheelbase vehicle.
Park 1 ½ inches license plate to wall. Mount so ball is around eye level. 48-inch hanging distance. Use Genie formula 2nd 76" from #1. Eyelet is now about 18" in front garage door fully retracted.
Garage door moves 84 inches when it closes. But the ball only hangs down 48 inches.
Sorry genie – your Perfect Stop is far from perfect!

Perfect Stop
Super easy time saver! The ball is designed to raise and lower with the garage door, but I chose to simply hang directly from the ceiling. Easy install - everything needed is included (ball, string, eyelet hook) except a ladder ;)

You guys....
My parents tied a tennis ball to a string 25 years ago in their garage. They nailed it to the ceiling and it's been doing it's job ever since. If you pay $7 for this.... I dont know what to say to you.

Rating this as “Good” mainly because the product is an extremely cheap solution for assisting with parking your car in your garage. However, the instructions for measuring and placing the eye hooks were only approximations at the end of the day. It took trial and error to get the eye hooks exactly where they needed to be placed, to where the drop ball would be located in the exact right spot for parking. Precision was absolutely needed in our situation given the tight fit of the car in the garage.

What is not mentioned is this device is designed to work with common / standard height garage ceilings , I’m guessing 8’. If you have a taller ceiling, you’re pretty much on your own to calculate the length and distances of the eye screws and may need a longer string. How’s your trigonometry? Once installed, works great.
